I used to live here so very happy to return for a more lane visit. It is an ideal place for families with good safe beaches, good travel facilities for access to other areas of Devon by bus or train, especially to Exeter’s excellent shopping. Not the most interesting of towns but good middle of the road unpretentious place to visit & enjoy.

Exmouth itself is an attractive holiday resort for all the family. Superb sandy beach with many facilities, wide range of hotels and restaurants, railway and buses. Many restaurants serve a wide variety of fish menus. One is able to walk and walk and enjoy the variety of houses, streets, special buildings, the market and the coffee/snack outlets. Excellent town in a beautiful part of the country. Hotel was lovely and we had a relaxing stay. Staff friendly and helpful and even the weather was fine! Exeter at Christmas is lovely but beware of traffic congestion!

The room was a good size and warm, the bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water and the towels were nice and fluffy! We had a great view over Exmouth beach, across the Exe estuary and out to sea. A nice independent (quirky) hotel, unlike more popular chains. Lovely old building, which would benefit from a re-fit and new decoration.
