Nothing! The room stank of gloss paint - it was overpowering. The bed was ok, however the linen was “brand new” and still had the manufacturers dressing on it. The bathroom had a lock on the outside of the door, but, importantly , not one on the inside of the door. The mirror was suspended by string, was heavy, and if dislodged would have caused serious damage. There were no net curtains, to provide some privacy at ground floor level. The television didn’t work. The only light switch in the room meant having to switch off, by the door, and then blindly find your way to bed. There was no catering, no breakfast, and no evening meal. The man on the desk was very rude and not helpful, or interested. To be charged £120, for this lack of any hospitality, is an insult and a disgrace. The “hotel” should be closed until such time as it is able to provide any hospitality. The description on booking.com, is absolutely and totally misleading. We were advised £100 and then billed for £120, adds insult to injury. And it makes our faith in booking.com, severely tested, and in doubt for any future bookings. There are many other booking agents.

Michelle was welcoming and friendly, the location and parking were spot on - with the town centre a short walk away. The room exceeded our expectations and the breakfast was perfect. It’s a classy classic B&B and you will love it!
Real Ales, fine wines, superb food and a warm welcome await from your hosts, Sarah and Lisa. The interior retains an old world charm, with log fires, stone walls and oak beams.

Friendly village, Good pubs with good food (x 3) a short distance away, two of which are easily walking distance. Good roads to towns like Cirencester, Gloucester or Warwick and also busy and nostalgic canal towpaths, , Picturesque villages and cotswold specials like Broadway, Stow on the Wold and Boughton are all close-by.
