Beautiful, relaxing hotel. Great location with easy access to train station. Comfortable rooms, staff were friendly and accommodating. I asked for some milk instead of the uht in our room and that was no problem at all. Breakfast was busy but food was good quality.
Situated on the banks of the River Ouse, The Queens Hotel is ideally located for the many shops, restaurants and bars that the centre of York has to offer.

Location was great, easy walking distance to town.
Breakfast offered good choices and was served in a courteous and friendly way.
Room didn’t have an external window which made it a little claustrophobic and hot.
A boutique Art Nouveau hotel in historic York. Minutes from the heart of the city, overlooking the Knavesmire Strays, lies the Elmbank Hotel, a unique 19th-century mansion with a rich history.

Basic, but clean B&B, four miles from the centre of York.

Bedroom windows triple glazed, but this meant that there is no ventilation until the traffic dies down after 8.00pm. Not a problem if spending the day in York. Good breakfast served with a smile. Only drawback felt that the single bed was too soft, even to sit on!
