The location was great, the building very old which is to our taste. It was a good all round stay. Breakfast was good and very filling, staff friendly, nice view from room of the church. Our room had minimal noise from the bar downstairs. We had the room with its own shower room.

The accommodation and facilities were of a very high standard. The village location was picture post card perfect with a pub 50 yards award and Norman church with ringing bell across the road.

The cottage is ideally situated for walks over the moors (fells). A little ways outside of Sedberg, but within walking distance. Very quiet area, beautiful green, rolling hills, wild flowers, the river with it's ancient stone bridge.
Good food at the Red Lion pub in Sedberg. And nextdoor neighbour very helpful in calling ahead to book us a table, as we arrived near to time meals finished.
Cottage totally delightful. Everything very well maintained. Nice well-appointed living room with dining area off to side. Power reclining couches. Clean, well-equipped kitchen. Plenty of dishes and cook-ware. Nice big kettle and teapot. Milk, teabags, coffee and cookies all ready and waiting.
Two nice, comfortable bedrooms with both medium and light quilts. Extra pillows ( feather) available in closet.
Back bedroom gorgeous views of the hillside where sheep and lambs were grazing.
Bathroom again clean and well equipped (auto light on mirror had us stumped the first night) Large bathtub with great water pressure, and hot shower.
Lots of information booklets available. Information about cottage and of nearby walks and hikes in black folder. NB We didn't read the last paragraph about turning off the outside lights at night, until our third night. So our apologies to the neighbours.
Three areas of outdoor seating all of which we availed ourselves. Many different species of birds at the bird feeder in back yard.........including a pheasant, who thought he could maintain his balance on feeder-well he couldn't!
Parking was good after first attempt.

The tucked away location was lovely, really quiet, and well signed so was easy to find. Pauline bought out a much needed pot of fresh tea and lovely cake on arrival. A welcoming log burner was ticking over in the guest lounge. Both Pauline and Roger were so friendly, and as farmers ourselves, my husband chatted away with both.... relentlessly! Our room was clean and comfortable. I liked the fact that there was a little fridge in our room with PROPER MILK... hallelujah! It was lovely to fall asleep with the odd moo of a cow in the background. Breakfast was divine. This farmhouse B&B is a REAL gem and unbelievable value for money. We absolutely will be back next time we are up North. Thank you Pauline and Roger.
Between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, this former 17th-century coaching inn is rich in original character and traditional charm, offering good food, real ales and log fires.
Lovely village with cobbled streets. Two nice pubs (One with meals, Sky sports and a pool table, the other more drinking).
Plenty of walks in the area.
Nice cafe.
Local shop.
Dent vampire is worth visiting on the church porch floor. ( Read about it on the Dent website)
Museum (But didn't go in)

Sue was very considerate about our late arrival, she made us feel welcome.
Our rom was immaculate with comfortable beds.
The breakfast was absolutely superb.
Sue was very informative about where to visit as we didn't know the area very well.
There is no parking in the village but we were given a free parking pass for the main car park which is just 3 minutes away.
The surrounding countryside was stunning.

Beautiful village with cobbled streets set in the Yorkshire Dales. Make sure you reserve a table in advance if you plan to eat at The George and Dragon. Getting setting for walkers and Yorkshire Three Peaks

Dent is an amazing little village in the Yorkshire Dales.
Dent is an amazing little village in the Yorkshire Dales. We love the tiny cobble stoned streets where buses can't access, therefore retaining it's historic last century feel. There are so many great walks to take around the dales, that it draws us back again and again. There are local pubs in the area providing good meals as well as some great little cafes. The locally run museum is a must see - don't forget to leave room for some apple pie and cream.
