Gorgeous setting with the most wonderful view of the River Tweed from our room. Beautiful walks locally. Having Dryburgh Abbey literally on the doorstep was an added bonus.
The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming - the staff in the restaurant were helpful and professional.
Breakfast was tasty and in a beautiful room with stunning views. A choice of lovely Scottish products on the hot menu as well as a good selection of cold food on the buffet.
The room was clean and tidy, with basic decor. The bathroom was clean and functional with a great shower!!
Our meal on the final evening was very tasty even though the restaurant was not quite what we were led to believe.

The owner was lovely, so welcoming and helpful. The best part was how genuine she was, wasn't put on, just a lovely lady who is proud of her establishment.
The bed was so comfy, and the room was a really good size, best night sleep I could have asked for. The breakfast was delicious, and so relaxing.

Really lovely stay, fab service from Brooke and her colleague, and a great room. Even with 12 milks made available. It's the little things like that, which makes a difference. I'll be back!

We are an outdoors couple, in our early 60s, with a 3yr old airedale terrier and who love walking every day, so Darnick is perfect for us.
A comfortable 20-30min stroll along a cycle/footpath takes you right into Melrose with all its shops, pubs, cafes and history.
It is also perfect for walking in the amazing countryside around the river Tweed and the Eildon hills, with numerous waymarked trails of varying distances and times.
