Lovely inn set in a quiet location - the furnishings are quirky as there are over 50 mice carved into the bar, stools and other areas by the craftsman Robert Thompson - the mouseman of Kilburn,Yorkshire.
There is also a fabulous farm shop on site. The food is excellent and the portions are large.

The staff were lovely, and really friendly. The hotel is clean and on a quiet road. The food was excellent, although the menu was limited. The room had all that I could have wanted to hand. No hairdryer though, and no phone in the room to ask for one. Only realised when I had washed my hair. I couldn't be bothered to use my phone to see if I could get one.

I liked the individuality of the place. The gentleman was friendly. I had hoped to have a drink in the pub, but was a little tired.
The room was spacious, and the kettle was a welcome inclusion. It was a loft room.

We were very pleased with the location of the pub, easy to find and very attractive looking facade. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were funky colours which made a nice change from plain grey, and the bed linen was exceptionally nice. ….duck feather pillows and good quality white linens, and a very comfortable bed too.
We had a nice meal in the restaurant and a few drinks in the bar too. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the only error was that the poached eggs on avocado toast were hard. But we would definitely recommend a stay, we really enjoyed it. Thank you Green Dragon!
A nice addition is that they have a lovely shop on the site, with well sourced foods and gifts, (also a small selection of plants )which is great if you are planning a picnic en route.

Very difficult to fault anything about the stay - accommodation and rooms were well furnished and comfortable; restaurant food - had a wide choice of out of the ordinary dishes; was well prepared, cooked and served with a cheerful smile; breakfast was good - as hearty as one wished it to be and promptly served.
Beautifully styled rooms. Modern and very clean bathrooms. Hot day so pleased windows could be opened and we managed to get a fan. Dinner at hotel was delicious. Staff very attentive. Shop attached filled with great local produce anf gifts was an added bonus.
A really lovely place to stay. Hotel room was nice, and there is a little shop filled with a lot of nice food! We ate there, and their dinner/breakfast was good value and nice. Good options for gluten free/vegan. Nice also that hotel and pub was dog friendly.
Beautiful rooms, great food, friendly staff. good location for walking. fairly good value considering other hotels/guest houses in the area. Honestly couldn’t fault it.
