Decor is bright and uplifting. Room lighting has controls for all moods. Lovely bathroom and comfortable bed. Evening meal was first rate. Location just off the A1, so convenient when travelling to/from Scotland.

The property was in an excellent location-near a fantastic beach but also central to a lot of the tourist sites, by car. It doesn’t look particularly pretty from the outside but the recent upgrade has been so cleverly done inside. The theme of beach house is carried through the whole property. The dining room, with huge windows for sea views and tables angled accordingly, is bright and fresh but has lots of clever design ideas.
All of the staff -reception, dining room and bar were both friendly and efficient.
You had to choose your breakfast time -that worked brilliantly as you got served almost before you’d sat down! There was a huge selection for breakfast and what we ordered was of a high standard. We ate one dinner there too-very well designed menu to make the best of local produce -all delicious.

We liked the proximity to facilities. The lady that serviced the room was very pleasant. The room was clean, but nowhere to sit and there wasn't any view outside. Obviously we weren't in there much, sometimes you just want to go in your room for an hour to rest.
