Harbour Hotel & Spa Chichester, hotel in Chichester

Centrally located, a few minutes' walk from Chichester Festival Theatre and the cathedral, this beautiful 18th-century building has a brasserie.

The hotel is perfectly located on the edge of the High Street, meaning everything is close by. Despite the location, it is very quiet so an undisturbed sleep. The reception team was so helpful, ensuring our check-in, including our parking, were sorted seamlessly. The bar and restaurant are lovely and the choice of drinks is excellent. The restaurant is well laid out to give privacy, whilst the staff are appropriately attentive. The menu is diverse and appealing to a broadchurch of palates. The rooms are modern and well laid out. The bed is HUGE!!!! It offered complimentary gin and further choices in the room's mini bar. The bathroom is compact but everything is there that one might need. Breakfast was not included, but for a reasonable charge, a choice of continental or cooked breakfast was available. We enjoyed the cooked option (you can enjoy both when buying the cooked option) and found it to be of the highest standards. We thoroughly recommend this hotel and spa.

Absolutely fabulous place. Lot's to see and do.

Absolutely fabulous place. Lot's to see and do. The cathederal is wonderful as is the canal boat trip. If you like food then there's lots of restaurants here. We visited 4 and they were all good especially Purchases on North Street which was exceptional. There is also a lovely walk around the city on the historical city wall pathway.

We only had a very short trip and could have stayed much longer and done so much more, we thoroughly enjoyed what we did do though. The Bishops Palace garden is beautiful and well worth a visit, we also enjoyed Fishbourne Roman Palace, which is really interesting and has some beautiful gardens and mosaics. Sadly it rained a lot and we couldn't do some of the things we had planned, maybe next time. We visited Tinwood vineyard on our way home and had a delicious lunch and bought some lovely sparkling wine to take home.

    Where do I start!

Where do I start! The room was beautiful and excellent value for money. The views and location truly amazing! I have stayed here before but only seem to be able to manage night at a time as I am always travelling. Would love to spend a week here! If you have the time and it is running take the boat and go seal watching! Not too far from the room is Chichester a really interesting place to visit, greta history, good shopping, delicious restaurants

Comprehensive shopping and eateries - we found the people really lovely, chatty and happy to help. So much history, lots to see. You must visit Luckes - independent, fabulous food, lovely staff. The Real Eating company - really good coffee, lovely staff. Our first experience was a bit unfortunate but the manager and staff were quick to respond and rectify that - highly recommend them - they have two venues in Chichester.

Our first visit to Chichester, to meet up with relatives who live locally, we had limited time to explore the town. We wandered around, walked on the old city walls, visited an interesting museum with a temporary display of Star Wars toys and of course visited the Cathedral. Chichester has largely retained the old type of 'proper' town centre with individual local shops in addition to the larger chains which makes it more interesting to walk around.

The city centre is very compact with the main shopping areas, bars and restaurants close to the cathedral and within the city walls. Would recommend the 2.2 mile walk around the old city walls from where you can stop off and enjoy Priory Park and The Bishops Garden. Pleanty of cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants to choose from. Would recommend The Barn in Little London which is great for coffee and delicious pastries and the food and cocktails at Purchases were fantastic. Lemongrass Thai restaurant in St Pancras was also very good. An informative and enjoyable guided walk can be booked from the Novium Museum.

Lovely cosy hotel in rural surroundings just outside Chichester. My room was immaculate and comfortable with an excellent shower. All the staff I met - manager, bar staff and cleaners - were lovely and helpful, and very kind when I had to arrive very late due to transport issues. Nice garden outside, complete with some beautiful bunnies. Highly recommended.

Location was perfect for a sight seeing and theatre visit to Chichester. Everything about the hotel and room was lovely, spotlessly clean and tidy and everywhere looked newly decorated. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room. Breakfast was perfect and freshly prepared. The bed was also really comfortable which is big plus.

The breakfast was good, and the location is excellent if you want to see the Roman Palace excavated very close by. The room was quiet, as it did not face the busy road that runs by the pub. The staff were helpful, and there is good bus service, about every 20 minutes, in to Chichester, where parking can be a challenge.
