This hotel is set in some of Derbyshire's most idyllic countryside, built around a Norman mill tower along the banks of the River Trent.

Very convenient situation, and such a peaceful setting. The staff were all very efficient, especially on the catering side. The garden areas were well kept and looked lovely, a good first impression. The main part of the hotel was smart and comfortable
Breakfast was excellent
With free parking, a fully licensed bar, continental breakfast and 24-hour reception, Days Inn by Wyndham Donington offers free Wi-Fi in rooms and is just off the A50 road.

Warm, clean and comfortable but breakfast was very very basic and diy. I felt that value for money was not good. We had a change of circumstances which ment we could not travel on the Friday(booked Friday and Saturday night) but had contacted them and asked if we could change the dates to the Saturday and Sunday night instead. They said no that they were not going to do that that booking would not allow it so we had to just turn up on the Saturday having paid for the Friday and Saturday. Meanwhile we made another booking for the Sunday night and guess what happened… they gave us the same room we had been in!

Interesting place with range of ages of buildings.
Interesting place with range of ages of buildings. Lots of food outlets, looked good. Manor Hotel very faded glory: avoid.
Bus to Nottingham or Derby runs all night because of the airport. We went bus pass to Nottingham, very well worth a visit. An attractive town that could do with a good clean.
Best fabric shop my wife has seen in this country. Rolls of high quality end of line from local mills for sod-all! We brought back 2, but will be going again no doubt.
Very close to M1 and A50 so very easy to get to.

Time has caught up with the hotel since the advert was written. Sadly, my room was no longer 'bright and modern' and the shower definitely wan't a 'power shower'.
The thermostat wasn't there. The room was cold.
The TV remote had two parts mission.
The carpet was 'suspect'.
No hand soap. When asked, the hotel had "run out".
Tea and coffee was provided, but no milk. I had to go back to ask for some.
IKEA coffee mug still had a dirty sticker on the bottom.
Bathroom was.... not perfect.

The hotel is only a short walk to the airport which makes it ideal.
We have stayed a number of times, normally we book in for a night before we travel and the car is parked for the duration of our trip, this is normally booked through Holiday Extras but I omitted to to book for our return night therefore did this through Booking.com. Only disappointment with this was I had to pay an extra £5 for parking that night of our stay.

Great location to our final destination, reasonable price for what you get but carpet made the room so much older than it could’ve been. Really friendly welcoming receptionists both on arrival and exit!

Location great for Donnington Park. Hotel looks good, clean and the reception, bar area and dinning room was lovely. Pool great, we had it to ourselves, loungers to sit and watch our Grandson swimming. Has a gym, but we didn't use it, although over looks the pool and seems to be busy. Room spacious, clean modern with a queen size bed which was comfy and so were the pillows. We had a lovely time and would stay again if going to Donnington Park.
Really friendly, helpful staff and a really warm welcome form them. The hotel is very clean and tidy throughout and has a nice atmosphere. The room was clean and tidy and a good size, the shower was excellent too. Breakfast, was great lots of choice of hot and cold food and plenty of different beverages. Again the staff being helpful when needed, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Easy booking & check-in. Fairly quiet room on ground floor although only a view of the car park. Comfortable and clean bedroom. Had lovely meal from the Sunday lunch menu in the informal dining room on the Sunday evening. Good breakfast in the formal restaurant, food brought to us rather than buffet which suited us perfectly. Food could have been hotter but otherwise fine.
Beautiful property in a fantastic location, Sally is lovely, very welcoming, helpful and communication was spot on. We stayed in the Kings Quarter room which is lovely and spacious with the most comfortable bed. Everything was spotlessly clean, nothing at all not to like about The Keep and we will always stay there for future visits to Castle Donington, highly recommend.
Great location for Donington Race Track. Good communication when an issue arose with our room. The team couldn't do enough to help resolve it for us. For our 3 night stay having the kitchen facilities was really useful and for a compact space it still contained everything we needed. Great water pressure in the shower.
The whole hotel looked new/refurbished. Room was very clean. Kitchen was well equipped, and full with food. They even kept alternative milk, which we use normally. It had a coffee machine, with different pods as well and fruits, breads, joghurts jams eggs etc
Really loved our stay
The hotel is well equipped, with a health spa, Marco Pierre White restaurant and even an escape room (so would be great for hen or stag do's). The food was delicious, the staff lovely and helpful and the rooms nice and clean. Big bathrooms and a lovely shower.
The Days Inn by Wyndham Donington hotel was the cheapest hotel in the area - for 5 nights I spent approximately £173, averaging £35 per night. Being just 20 minutes away from East Midlands airport, it was fine...
Proximity to East midlands airport. You can park your car in the hotel carboark and walk across to the terminal. It's not expensive to park there if you buy a parking package with your stay
Great location for where I was going to the following day - ideal hotel for a stop over before flying via East Midlands Airport and also ideal if you love Download but hate camping.
