Breakfast was great. The room comfy and cosy. The place has “olde worlde” charm and feel to it, and we liked it, a lot. The bar is a small maze of nooks and crannies and that makes it fun.

Last minute change due to no room at usual place. Usual places mistake as this is a hidden gem.

Carterton is a small modern town with supermarkets, restaurants and takeaways. Very convenient and handy for our self catering accommodation. Very close to many beautiful old Cotswold villages.
Best of both worlds!

Well supplied with supermarkets.
Well supplied with supermarkets. Good location for Brize Norton air Base, Bampton, Burford and Upton Smokery.
Ty Nant cottages were set in the countryside within walking distance of the town. Asda has a ATM for banking and post office inside.
Ty Nant cottages were good for accessing other attractions in the area.
The accomodation was well organised and furnished. I could suggest the cottage we stayed in would benifit from net curtains.
The owners were very helpful.

It is quite a thriving town with some busy pubs and a few nice restaurants. It is quite close to some interesting tourist attractions (such as Blenheim Palace) and is a lovely area to explore on long walks and has some very quaint villages - we especially like Burford where there is a very good garden centre and the high street is wonderful, with lots of local small shops.

Great place to stay close to everything you need without paying a ridiculous price to stay in such a beautiful part of the country. The Masons arms is a little hidden gem only a 10 minute walk & buzzing with characters.

Carterton itself is a military town, and not a quaint Cotswold village like so many that it is surrounded by, however it has everything you need and much more and is so convenient for days out and ‘chocolate box’ villages, Bibury is a must see, but if you don’t mind driving in the countryside you will come across some beautiful tiny villages quietly tucked away. There are some great places to eat very close by, all well signposted. We attended a wedding at nearby Filkins, found a really helpful taxi service (& very reasonably priced too).
