I received a very warm welcome and it was made clear that I could ask for anything I needed during my stay. The room was cosy and homely with a gorgeous view and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. It's in very easy reach of Cardigan and St Dogmaels with plenty of places to eat nearby. I would certainly stay again if I'm in the area.

The location was superb. Amazing views of the Teifi estuary and the sea beyond. Nice, clean beer garden opposite the hotel with breathtaking views. Room was modern and clean. There's even a free bottle of local beer in the room - nice touch. The restaurant has great views too. All the staff were lovely people. We had a lovely warm welcome. Bar and restaurant very sensibly priced.
This renowned hotel boasts one of the most breathtaking views and marine locations in Wales, overlooking Cardigan Bay, the rugged coastline, the Teifi Estuary and the broad sweep of Poppit Sands.

Ginnie and Andrew are really curating their property into a lovely place for a family break, with a lovely range of fun projects that create things to do without even leaving the site. When we visited in May 2024 there was a comfortably heated pool, garden railway (where Thomas the Tank Engine was a real hit with our two year old), big climbing frame, chickens, scalextric, swing ball, football, foot golf, big bench on top of the hill, and a great selection of places to visit nearby.
The cottage was comfortable and was equipped with everything we needed.

The host messaged me twice before my arrival making sure I had all the information I needed.
There were teas and real coffee and milk and sugar in the kitchen in case we were late or not prepared. Toothbrushes too. Everything was there that we needed and that we could have forgotten.

Cardigan Castle disappointing, not much to see, may be of more interest to somebody wanting historical facts. To me a waste of time and money. Castle virtually non existent.
Cardigan is a town that time has forgotten! For that it is pleasantly quaint. Nice cafes.
Probably better on a fine day!

Quite a quaint town during the day but at night it does come alive especially the pubs.
A really lovely range of shops and food places.
A visit to the castle is a must.
The best places are often the ones reccomended by locals.
2 days just wasn't enough for me, as just a little further out was glorious bays, beaches and mountains but more spectacular was the waterfalls

Beautiful area to stay despite the mixed weather.
Beautiful area to stay despite the mixed weather.
Went for a few walks on the coastal pathways which had breathtaking views. Cardigan was 10 minutes away by car. Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Crwst. This is a must for anyone visiting the area.
Great pasta lunch at Berlotti's. A fairly good variety of shops in Cardigan.
We also visited Theatre Mwldan during our stay to watch the latest Poirot film.
My family and I spent a few days here recently and we loved it. The whole place was lovely. The owners were so helpful and really nice. There was a gorgeous outdoor heated swimming pool and a hot tub outside our accommodation. My family spent a great afternoon playing the huge outdoor chess game and the kids loved the play area. The beds were really comfortable and the place was so clean. It felt so luxurious and we were sorry to have had only booked a short stay here. We will be back and would highly recommend this holiday cottage.
Stayed 15.01.22-16.01.22. The accommodation had everything needed and was of good quality at a reasonable price. The room was just the right size, clean and quiet. It's just a short walk to the town so it doesn't matter that no food is served there at the moment, as there are some cracking cafes and restaurants in Cardigan, even on a Sunday, just up the road. Its a great hotel if you just want a lovely quiet sleep, shower in the morning, cuppa and out. There is also a quality television in the room to boot!!
The entrance/reception is welcoming and had lovely decor, as is the newly opened bar. The lady at check in and working the bar was very nice and friendly and covered both areas on her own very well. Our room was modern, clean, comfortable and well equipped with hairdryer, toiletries, towels, TV and iron/board. The bed was also comfortable.
Parking was not an issue for us - there are bays outside the hotel free for an hour and then unlimited from 6pm-8am, meaning you can park from 5pm-9am.
Booking process was very straightforward, there's parking out front & check in was very easy.
Nicola & Anthony that run it are lovely, so friendly, very welcoming & go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
Our room (3) was very nice & had everything we needed & the double bed was very comfortable.
Plenty of tea/coffee + bottled water which is always on offer if you're running low.
The hotel is a 5min walk from Cardigan Castle & so in a great spot for exploring the town.
Exceptional property located up a quiet lane ,perfect for any size party as there are a few houses of different sizes ours was for two people . Very well equipped comfortable house .Plenty of local beautiful beeches a short drive away as well as Cardigan a lovely town with supermarkets on the edge . A real bonus is the rare breed animals below our balcony outside seating area .Friendly owner who I feel sure would resolve any issues ,we had none .
We enjoyed the whole experience, The hotel, room, parking, Breakfast, staff, location there was nothing to complain about but everything to make our stay a very happy stay. Thank you to the hotel staff for a very professionally run operation and very friendly interaction that goes a long way to remembering a very happy stay. We would definetly stay at this hotel if in the area in the future.
Best wishes and good luck to Cardigan Castle Hotel.
We needed an overnight stay close to Cardigan to attend a wedding. Flambards was perfect. Rooms were really clean and cozy. Facilities and shower was great. The Host was really friendly and accommodating. He also let us check out slightly later so we could get ready for the wedding we were attending. The Breakfast was also good and as a coeliac I was well catered for which is rare. Overall Great place to stay in this area of Wales.
Not quite sure what we expected at this hotel but WOW it was fantastic, we were given a free upgrade to sea view room which was luxurious and spotlessly clean, to just sit at the bay window and admire the coast and scenery was idyllic. Dinner was excellent and so glad we didn't over eat because breakfast was generous and tasty, thanks to all the staff and look forward to a return trip
The Teifi Waterside Hotel was a special piece of luck. Western Wales was our plan, no idea where to go. Cardigan, cute town, coastal vistas.
The Waterfront Hotel has a spectacular location, amazing views.
Impressive (large) rooms, good bar/restaurant and easy onsite parking.
Walked in, loved it, booked extra night.
Staff were great, good service & local knowledge.
Good location central to the Town and a good base to visit the area. Car park accessed via gated entrance was narrow so care needed. Accommodation was within Castle grounds in annexe to main building. Room was large with en-suite just as large, overlooking Castle garden. Breakfast in Castle cafe, friendly staff with views to river or castle grounds.
The location was ideal just outside the town center to all amenities just set back from the main road. We used this has base point to travel around the area visiting all the beaches or villages.
The host Sue was very welcoming and the bungalow was lovely clean and comfortable.
Cheap hotel in a nice area, so at the price it was you can't really complain. The room was a good size and had all the facilities we needed. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good. Cardigan is a lovely little town with lots of independent shops and cafes.
Beautiful room and very clean, great location for coast path cardigan bay and Newport, enjoyed the boat ride to see dolphins and seals! Missing the gorgeous breakfasts already, thankyou Meg and your wonderful team!
The breakfast was very good. The hotel manager moved us into a larger, standard double room and so much better. People working at the hotel were amazing.
