The room was very clean and the kitchen really useful. The complimentary breakfast was great since we arrived on bikes, and a good amount for our three-night stay. Juice, milk, coffee, tea, sliced bread, honey, jam, butter and cereal. We would have preferred wholemeal bread rather than white, but that’s personal preference. Close to lots of beautiful sights and pubs.

The unit was clean and tidy and provisioned with a range of breakfast cereals, bread and spreads and orange juice for breakfasts during the stay. There was also plenty of on site parking available. The unit was set back from the road , so there wasn't much traffic noise.

Having read a number of reviews I was reserving my judgment but I must say the owners were lovely and the site is beautiful. There is a strict no music policy after 22:30 so if you want to come for a party night this isn’t the place for you but of you want a chilled night away with a few bottles I couldn’t recommend enough.
Only stayed 1 night at The Bear. Friendly staff and helpful.

There is a useful grocery store which stocks all your essentials
The little tea room on the High Street is a must visit. Amazing cakes served by really friendly staff.
the Rose and Crown pub is a must too, very quaint and again the service is excellent. Very friendly and the rooms for B&B are very clean.
Do not go to the Bear pub or stay at the Bear Hotel. The staff are very rude and don't deserve your custom
Burwash is ideally placed for Hastings, Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells

Lovely little village, not much there apart from the pub and a small shop but some great local walks across the countryside and the most amazing sunsets over the hill tops. We ate in the pub next to the accommodation which was lovely pub food and if the weather is nice has a large pub garden.

A quintessential English village with historical interest,...
A quintessential English village with historical interest, it being the home of Rudyard Kipling. The plethora of grade II listed buildings and beautiful cottage gardens coupled with outstanding scenery make it a truly memorable place. There are footpaths accessible from the village which open out onto far-reaching views of the countryside.

Burwash is an attractive village in the heart of the Sussex Weald. A good base for exploring the local countryside and visiting the many places of interest nearby, including several National Trust properties.
The breakfast was lovely, as was the lady who cooked it. Think her name was Amy. Very obliging and accommodating. The landlady was great too. The 'smokey' fish pie was great and the chef was chatty. Burwash is a pleasant place with a great church and close to Rudyard Kipling's interesting house.
The rooms are very clean and tidy with a large modern bathroom and plenty of free parking onsite.
Burwash is an attractive location.
Lovely pub called Rose and Crown near by serving great food - preferred to that offered in the bright sports bar in the The Bear Inn.
Great countryside location for a weekend escape. Burwash is a small village but it has its history and 2 pubs walking distance from the BnB. In the tradition of a perfect English Host, genuine breakfast was served in the fine china.
Wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. Felt like being welcomed into someone's house more than staying at a hotel! Beautiful pub in a great setting, would recommend without hesitation.
Not having researched much, we were pleasantly surprised by the pretty parish of Burwash. The B&B is very cosy, with a beautiful garden and charming host.
One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had, my second stay here, I absolutely love it. Mirie is so welcoming and goes above and beyond for her guests.
