Beautiful location in a little valley, with a nice pub across the road. The Buck Inn serves lovely food and, in good weather, is a beautiful place to have a pint and immerse yourself in the beauty of the countryside, whilst the sun sets. We went further afield for daytime walks, but the local walks up the hill and also down into the valley by the river were so gorgeous The Snug is spotless and cosy. The mini kitchen was sufficient to prepare breakfast and snacks and keep drinks and dog food cool. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was small but lovely. It was so nice that we were provided with crumpets, butter, jam, tea and coffee ( I could make a lovely cafetiere using provided coffee which was delish). And there were snacks and treats for our little dog. A small haven with lots of thoughtful touches and an amazing location. Looking forward to returning hopefully sometime soon.
Offering a garden and garden view, Romany Cottage B&B is set in Buckden, 15 km from Aysgarth Falls and 27 km from Forbidden Corner.

The room was beautifully designed with a large bathroom including a proper bath and Radox. We also appreciated the use of the lounge I the evening with a wood burner. Lynne was very kind and helpful.
Around 11 miles north of Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales, the Tennant Arms Hotel in Kilnsey offers well-appointed rooms and a cosy restaurant and bar.

The location was amazing, the views, nearby pond, sheep, hens, free range eggs for sale. The property appears to have a lot of its original features and our room was big with real wood furniture and the bathroom was also big with a roll top bath and his and hers sinks. We loved the space and the traditional feel of the place. The breakfast was delicious. It was clearly freshly cooked and the portions were generous. The staff were pleasant and communication with the hotel prior to our stay was excellent.

While the hosts were lovely it did not suit our age group. Access to the loft bedroom consisted of steps similar to warships. The bathroom was cramed

Buckden is a beautiful village with plenty of walks to woodlands, waterfalls, the river, the ridge, and Buckden Pike - the view from the ridge, even on a rainy day, was stunning. The Buck Inn serves delicious meals (portions are massive) and has the friendliest staff. There is a village shop, but it's possibly seasonal as it was closed during my stay.

The White Lion is situated outside of the village. quite a walk for someone with arthritis, so we took the car but seasoned walkers wouldn't find it a long trek at all and the scenery is beautiful.

Set in a beautiful rural location I preferred to eat in because it was comfortable and friendly. My favourite place was Skipton where I enjoyed visiting the Castle, the market and the Trinity church for coffee. Also walking in the woods was good.

There are many great walks from the cottage.
There are many great walks from the cottage. There is a limited bus service but worth using if you don't want to use your own transport. For most of the year you have a local shop and a cosy cafe in the village and all year round there is the village pub. Other pubs also doing food are between 1-3 miles away.
If you wanted to use your own transport there are places like Hawes and Aysgarth to the north or Skipton and Pateley Bridge to the south.
