Loved the fact that this is a different style of accommodation. Was a great experience. The bed was super comfy. Having a pot belly stove in the unit was fantastic as it was a wet, cold night.

A good range of breakfast choices. The full Scottish breakfast was exceptional.
The bedroom and bathroom were both spacious with quality furnishings. The views are second to none.
Wonderful hosts, attentive to their guests comfort & requirements. They go the extra mile to ensure everything is perfect. They even include home made cakes and biscuits which were amazing.
Really important for me, the room was incredibly sound insulated so there were no noise disturbances of any kind.
Gulabin Lodge nestles beneath the mighty Ben Gulabin in the south of the Cairngorms National Park. The property offers stunning views of the glen and surrounding mountains.
Lovely village with interesting shops,. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at Farquharsons which we rated as the best meaL of our holiday and there was a good lively atmosphere in the bar/restaurant, with friendly staff. Easy access to countryside rides.

Braemar is in Royal Deeside.
Braemar is in Royal Deeside. It is a small, picturesque village loved by walkers and tourists alike. Rightly proud of its history and royal connections.. it has lots to offer. It is the gateway to the Cairngorms, quaint local gift shops and lovely restaurants and bars. You can choose then to take the scenic route over the hills to Perth via Glenshee ( take a tour of the local gin distillery at Persie ) or take the coast road via Ballater, Aboyne and Banchory to the city of Aberdeen. We certainly enjoyed our visit and plan to return next year.

Best food and pub for me was Moorfield House Hotel. A little tucked away but worth the effort.
Loads of walking from local strolls to mammoth Munro hikes.
The countryside and wildlife is fantastic.
Lodge was warm and comfortable and well presented. It was immaculately clean.
Kitchen was really well equipped.
Bathroom really cosy and the shower was good and always hot.
The staff were helpful.
We ate at the hotel one night and that was excellent.
The ocation was great for walks, good for Glenshee and Ballater and 2 minutes walk into town if you needed to buy essentials.
The location was ideal, just on the outstirts of Braemar, very quiet but easy walking distance of town centre.
The facilities were good, comfortable and very clean.
The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, perfect for the morning after watching England beat Germany.
Sarah was a great host and knew about the hills and walks we were doing. Location was excellent and hotel was spotless. Breakfast options were excellent and food chosen was lovely.
Sadly 24 hours after we left, this lovey hotel burned to the ground.
Further comments would be pointless.
Best wishes and good luck to the owner Malcom and his family.
