Nice selection of a continental breakfast in the room and a restaurant in the actual property itself, really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, couldnt have asked for more.
Converted from an 18th-century farmstead, Battlesteads is a stylish country inn with en suite rooms and an 80-seat restaurant. It is set in beautiful countryside close to the Roman Wall

We had high expectations of room with spa bath, own terrace, luxury facilities- these were not met. Breakfast staff really nice and engaging.
Located within the heart of the newly appointed Dark Sky Park, the Hollybush Inn is just 7 miles from Kielder Water. The Hollybush Inn offers stylish rooms and a contemporary self-contained apartment....

Dinner menu was modestly priced , as it should be the food was only modest. We do not eat cooked breakfast and I can only say the continental option was aweful.
This hotel is seems mainly to be used by groups of hikers whom I assume get special rates. It also seems to be aiming to be a wedding venue, cricket club and an outdoor beer garden. Certainly not a upmarket hotel.
It is however in a stunning location.

This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure.
This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure. I sometimes travel through on my way to work in Kielder and around Northumberland so have never got to experience the town proper. Some great places to eat including the Fountain Cottage and Happy Valley and cute local shops such as Olive and Myrtle and Natural Northumberland. Recently our friends opened their brewery at the old ambulance station, F&L (First & Last) which also has a tap room opened 09.12.2022 - this addition to the town and previous positive visits will ensure my return for both work and leisure

Lovely little village.
Lovely little village.
A few good places to eat out, even for coeliacs.
Co-op grocery store and some very nice little gift shops.
Visitor centre was very interesting.
Great location for visiting Kielder Observatory, Kielder Water, Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Forts, Hadrian's Wall and Hexham - 30 mins from them all by car.
Everyone I met in the village and surrounding area was very helpful and friendly too.

Whilst technically a village, Bellingham punches well above...
Whilst technically a village, Bellingham punches well above the weight of its size - being the obvious local focus for a wide rural area. It is well provided for in terms of shops (including specialist butcher, bakers etc.) and plenty for tourists. It has multiple pubs, a couple of which (the Cheviot and Riverdale Hall) I can recommend from personal experience. Local beers were on hand pump and of high standard. The walking (particularly the Pennine Way) is of an excellent and picturesque quality.
Cozy and comfy accommodation, hosted with love and care, felt like a home. Well-equipped kitchen. Bellingham is pretty small but the accommodation was right next to the stores and two pubs, as well as to the start of the beautiful Hareshaw Linn Walk to a waterfall. Contact with the hostess was quick and easy. It was an hour's drive to Alnwick and half an hour's drive to some great Hadrian's Wall walks.
The staff were lovely and attentive, the room was comfortable and clean, great shower. The location is fab, right in the centre of Bellingham, with a few pubs nearby and a little shop across the road. We also ate in the cafe on the Saturday night and the food was really nice for the price. Breakfast was also great.
Big & comfortable room, nice breakfast, and friendly staff. The restaurant in the evening also served great food. Great value for money.
Bellingham’s a good place to base yourself for visiting Hadrian’s Wall and is a nice village in its own right.
This accommodation is finished to a high standard. Excellent use of the space makes it perfect for two people. It’s in an ideal location in the centre of Bellingham. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.
Excellent house. Very spacious, clean and well equipped. Perfect central location. We've stopped in Bellingham numerous times and this is one of the best.
Great support and communication from Maxine 👍
This is a well appointed property just over the bridge from Bellingham. It has been tastefully updated and is a real treat to stay there - comfortable and cosy. A great base to explore a beautiful area.
Bellingham is such a charming village. It was absolutely beautiful. The B&B and cafe were very tidy. The food was delicious. There are lovely hikes to go on as well.
