This is a lovely Inn in a quiet village, set in the beautiful Derbyshire Countryside, and a short drive, or walk to Chatsworth House. The staff are friendly, the bedrooms well appointed and comfortable, and a great breakfast. Overall a pleasant place to stay, with a relaxing ambience.

A pretty village with a couple of independent shops, restaurants and pubs (can highly recommend the food at the Prince of Wales.) The main attraction is Chatsworth though which is fabulous and never disappoints!

Beautiful little cottage tastefully decorated and had everything that you could possibly need. A lot of thought and care had obviously gone into preparing this property for guests. The bed was so comfortable and it was lovely to wake up in such beautiful surroundings. As it was dog friendly there was a dog and water bowl dog towel and even some poo bags!! The whole place was spotlessly clean and tidy. Perfect location to explore the Derbyshire Dales in a lovely little village. Lovely pubs which did great food literally a stones throw away!!

Lovely room with a comfy bed, modern updated bathroom with one of the best hotel showers I have ever had. The room was spacious and decorated so nice! It felt cozy and luxurious. We loved the breakfast. You could tell it was made with love. Bonus that the food was all sourced from local farms in the area. Such an amazing value for a really unique experience. The property manager was kind, helpful, and check-in/ out was so easy! The property was in close proximity to Chatsworth house. Must stay location in the Peak District.

What a cozy little inn! It felt like being given a warm hug, and it helps that the staff were also lovely and welcoming. Pretty clean too, although the mattress wasn't the most comfortable and the room does show its age. Lots of counter space in the bathroom to spread out toiletries and share with another person. Also, the location is fantastic for visiting Chatsworth - about a 7 minute drive. We thought we'd be able to walk there but unfortunately the nearby entrance is blocked off, so we drove.

Stayed for a nearby wedding at Chatsworth house. The room was nice and clean and the pub downstairs had decent food and drinks. Breakfast was reasonably priced too. It’s located in a lovely little village and has a nearby deer park for walks and scenic views. There are some nice Vintage shops in the village itself which are worth checking out. Chatsworth house is also close by, which again offers some nice views of the area.

Beautiful location, a short stroll from Chatsworth House and a 4 mile walk to Bakewell. An uphill walk to Baslow Edge and the Eagle Stone, a nice circular walk to Grindleford. Three lovely pubs close by. The cottage is spacious with a lovely bath and a great place to sit beside the river with a morning tea. Hosts were great let us park early and brought us milk and bakewell tarts !

Myself, my husband and 6mo old son had a great stay! The lodge is really well set up and comfy, and has everything you'd need. It's in a very convenient spot and there are some lovely pubs, walks and farm shops nearby. The communication with the host was great - very friendly and provided useful tips, and very easy to follow instructions to get into the property. Would recommend!

The apartment is located very close to different sites, we could reach different paths by walking and have a nice and relaxing weekend. The pub across the road is very convenient. The living room is very spacious and with a great window toward the garden. We enjoyed the sun in the living room in the evening. There are several good restaurants and cafe near to the location.

Easily accessible location in nicely renovated farmhouse on the edge of the Derbyshire Dales with quick access to Sheffield and the peak district. Lovely room, with equally lovely shared bath (except there were not allowing it to be shared due to Coronavirus, so we had to ourselves). Lovely homemade snacks, tea and coffee left for us in the room.
