Good location to explore the south lakes and Furness peninsula. it’s a pretty little village very close to the beach. There is a Buddhist temple and visitors centre down the road which is very beautiful and well worth a visit. Short trip into Ulverston. About 20 minutes by car to Coniston.

Bardsea is a lovely village and beautiful unspoilt coastline...

Bardsea is a lovely village and beautiful unspoilt coastline. It’s lovely for fresh air, long walks with breathtaking views all around. There are lots of places of interest to visit, nearby. Perhaps it is a little too quiet for some people. We really enjoyed visiting Furness abbey, Walney island and roan head beach. There is a really good selection of pubs and resteraunts in Ulverston, and some lovely little shops.
