Friendly staff. Amazing food. You have to eat there. The food is much better than the four star hotels. The special cod is the best cod I have ever had.

The breakfast was good and it was wonderful that I was able to have non dairy milk, poached eggs and sour dough bread. There was the usual fully cooked breakfast but also porridge, fruits and other items
The bed was very comfortable and the room was light and quiet
The hotel is very well situated for walking and visiting the area. For example we went to see the reindeers which was amazing.
There is a cinema on site and they also offer entertainment such as discos for children, bingo etc.
The swimming pool is great and has a flume that my 83 year old father went on and enjoyed!
I would recommend staying at the hotel we stayed in, rather than the other two hotels which are a bit more simple. We went for half board and the evening meal was delicious, generous and tasty. You get GBP 25.00 towards the meal and you either use that or have the two course set meal. We didn't have a bad meal there at all, well done chef!
Surrounded by woodland, Aviemore Youth Hostel is situated on the boundary of the Cairngorm National Park and a short walk from Aviemore town centre, offering an ideal location for outdoor activities.

My favourite part was the lounge! I met some great solo people and such a nice, warming atmosphere to share a game of chess or to read or play pool. Showers & bathrooms also exceeded my expectations with great temp and pressure.
Hostel staff were so friendly to me.

It was far bigger than I was expecting. Very well serviced by local buses to surrounding towns and villages. We travelled everywhere by bus. Lots of places to eat in the evening. Local people always ready and willing to help with travel advice.

I liked the central location of the Highland hotel and the activities for the children. The Winking Owl Aviemore is by far the best place to eat. It has such a huge choice of dishes at reasonable prices and great choices for celiacs and vegans. The staff at the Winking owl are lovely and there is a great atmosphere.

The town situated within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. There are beautiful views of all the mountains, forests and lakes. Not far from the legendary Loch Ness, it's hard to spot a monster. Amazing fogs.

It was very snowy when I arrived on Christmas day and the town was quiet. Its a pleasant place and a great stop off point to explore the area. It has plenty of cafes and restaurants, as well as shops to keep folk happy. But its real beauty is in the welcome and the access to the surrounding areas.

We visited the Highland Wildlife Park and I would recommend a full day we were unable to see all we wanted to in half a day
the Strathspey railway was enjoyable
Aviemore has a range of shops
the journey to Cairngorm is worthwhile and there are many attractions on the Rothiemuchs Estate
Reindeer Centre is very good with a walk for those able to see the reindeer on the hillside.
Golf and Fishing also availiable
Great location and large family rooms. Breakfast was good. The main issue was that the pool and leisure facilities were unavailable due to technical issues . No one updated us before we left Glasgow to attend hotel. Manager advised that they were considering a discount but as yet nothing has been offered. We had grandson and picked this hotel specifically as it had good swimming pool so was very disappointed that it wasn't open. we had to drive to another hotel a distance away for a swim.
The room was spacious, clean and bright. The bed comfortable and an extra duvet and pillows were at hand if needed. Tea and coffee making facilities were much appreciated as was the fridge to store some cold beverages and snacks. The hotel is well located close to and in walking distance of all the local amenities, as well as the main roads leading to and from Aviemore. This was a short stay but I would not hesitate to come back to the High Range Lodge Hotel for a longer stay.
Easy to find hotel at the outskirts of Aviemore. Well decorated, clean and with friendly staff. Parking right in front of the hotel (motel). Downside is no breakfast provision but we really liked they provided recommendations of near-by places for breakfast(one of which we picked and loved).
Staff at check-in desk is friendly and pleasure to speak with.
Rooms are very spacious, bathroom very well organized.
No flaws, would stay again when I am visiting next.
This was a good place to explore the nearby area, which was what we wanted. Even though the bathrooms or one bedroom are on the smaller side, they were perfectly functional and we enjoyed our stay there. It was pleasant to sit in the living room in the evening or on the little terrace after lunch when the sun finally came out. I cooked our meals and the kitchen was equipped with everything I needed. It was a great place for the three nights we had in Aviemore.
Cairngorm hotel is a super good hotel with all facilities. Good rooms, good breakfast, good food in the restaurant. Furthermore, there is a nice pub that you can visit while waiting for a table in the restaurant. We have stayed at the hotel several times and always get a good treatment. The hotel is well located if one is going to Speyside on distillery visits. We can highly recommend the hotel. And when we are in this part of Scotland again we will stay here.
On our arrival we received a warm welcome. Our bedroom was very nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable. The en suite bathroom and bedroom were exceptionally clean as was the rest of the hotl. Breakfast the following morning was freshly prepared , well presented and very tasty. Throughout our visit all staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is easy to find on the main road and is only a few minutes walk to Aviemore centre.
We were in the lodges this time and decor is very very tired. Big, clean lodge but just needs modernised (thread bare carpets isn’t appropriate for a £300 per night rate)!! Now been to Highlands & Aviemore hotels and still enjoy Aviemore as a location. Glad the swimming temperature is better in summer as very cold when we usually visit in January. Breakfast lovely and resort entertainment crew excellent, especially Rory!! What a hoot.
The breakfast was really excellent (you need to select your choices and time the day before) and the staff very friendly. The location is great for exploring the Cairngorms. It is a short drive away from of Aviemore town center, so you don't get the crowds and traffic, but close enough to pick up things you need. There is plenty of parking and a lake right near by. The restaurant serves a nice variety of dishes.
Location is really good and walk to hotel is fascinating. Also, railway station and m&s kiosk which is 24x7 open makes location perfect for stay in woods.
I will give thumbs up for very friendly staff who goes over and beyond expectations to make your stay perfect.
Another point to be noted is few restaurants are available nearby that help you to save some time.
The staff were generally either excellent (eg at reception and on the bar), or at least good enough (breakfast service was slow but ok). My room was comfortable and clean, but fittings etc dated. Aviemore is a very good location, and for sure, this hotel is much better than a direct competitor nearby in Colyumbridge. The breakfast was good.
Small Country Hotel, great staff with very friendly relaxed attitude. Food was excellent. Pleasant strolling in fields behind with your pets as dogs and cats welcome. Only a couple of miles from Aviemore where there are plenty of activities. Not to mention skiing!
Altogether a very pleasant stay and would recommend to anyone
Hotel was beautiful, staff were very helpful approachable and friendly, couldn't fault the service, food was amazing rooms were very clean and stunning, stunning views from our room and we had our children with us which they were very accommodating for. Will definitely return here we had an amazing time!
The room was a good size with reasonable amenities. Has a restaurant and bar in the hotel and room was acceptable. The staff are clearly motivated to provide a good service. The food tasted good both for dinner and breakfast. Rooms were cleaned well and clearly they work hard to do this.
The hotel was spotless and the bed/ pillows were so comfortable. The hotel is in a great location right in the middle of Aviemore close to a variety of activities. The food is amazing as was the breakfast and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning
The Aviemore resort has 3 hotels and include a range of great leisure facilities including leisure pool, soft play area, cinema, ice rink, golf course, shopping arcade. You will never be bored something for all ages. The staff were welcoming and very professional
First time at High Range. Great location for Aviemore. Had everything we required especially dog walks nearby. Accommodation warm on arrival. And extremely comfortable. Well maintained grounds and surroundings. Would return for more visits.
I like the family friendly atmosphere of this hotel which has kept us coming back time and time again. The staff work very hard and this is evident to be seen. Lots of things to do for all the family. Thank you!
I was many, many times in Aviemore and always stay in hotels, and that was a mistake! Perfect place for holiday ! You can find even board games and lego for kids 😉
The suite we had was great for three. The bathrooms had high quality fittings. The hotel is well-situated for exploring the town. We really enjoyed our stay.
