Almost like being in your own home with all of amenities. Owner extremely gracious and accommodating. Up on a hill with a great view. Private parking a huge plus. Better than most hotels and B&Bs I've stayed in.

Overall, the region was beautiful and there are many lovely towns to visit and much history in the area. Sarlat has a recently updated town square that is quite beautiful. Getting around the town itself is typical of a small French town. Walking is best! I was underwhelmed with the restaurants and the shops. Some areas of the town feel rundown.

It’s such a beautiful city and it has wonderful things to explore within the walls. The whole region around Sarlat is beautiful. Sarlat is the perfect place to rest after a long day exploring other small towns or caves in this gorgeous region. We could have spent two weeks here easily. Take full advantage of the markets on Wednesday and Saturday in Sarlat to get amazing food, and of course, eat at a restaurant and enjoy some amazing wine.

Charming old town, narrow streets, lots of shops, many, many selling local produce, foie gras, etc. Centrally located to visit the highlights of the Dordogne. Many places to dine, seemingly pretty much the same menus everywhere except in a couple of higher end restaurants. It is hilly. Parking very hard, everywhere is payant, get the APP.

Sarlat was an amazing town and a great place to visit. Plenty of restaurants and bars, friendly people and lots of history. We could have stayed longer but only to explore the surrounding areas.
Will definitely stay again

Politeness and a smile opens many doors, I don't speak French well, but was very pleased at how friendly and polite the people were. I mean all the people not just the ones that are getting some financial benefit from you.
Basically, be nice, don't be an ass, and you won't get treated like one.
Take a moment to look at how many men these small towns lost during WWI, must have been devistating.

Le Royere is beautifully furnished and includes all the necessary accessories for a pleasant and comfortable visit. It is conveniently located on the main town square. Restaurants and shops are available in areas immediately surrounding the apartment. Christine was an excellent hostess and always available to accommodate us. We really enjoyed our stay in Sarlat and would return again to stay in this accommodation. The apartment provided an excellent “home base” for us to explore the nearby Dordogne area.
I arrived with my 87-year-old mother, to show her Sarlat and the Christmas marked. The room was very small, no place to sit and relax. We arrived by bus and expected a comfortable room, but we got a tiny room.
The location is good, but the PLAZA Hotel does not have a restaurant. I expect a better room in a Plaza Hotel for over 200€ for one night.
Thank you to the helpful staff, but we are disappointed
Thank you for the kindest hosting family who prepared this apartment for the guests.
Beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean. We felt at home. Kitchen was really well-equiped so we had dinner in the apartment. It was an experience of living in the heart of the beauiful Sarlat la Caneda. The kindest owners helped us about the parking and more.
We re hoping to come back.
Very friendly and welcoming hosts…Frank and Nelly make you feel at home.
They gave us a lot of great advices and tips to have the best experience during our stay in Dordogne.
Very pleasant and clean house in walking distance from the center of Sarlat-la-Canéda.
Delicious and plentiful French breakfast
Would highly recommend this charming “Chambre d’hôtes”
Location in Sarlat is great! Very funky hotel with nice smelling shampoo! Room was not big but not a problem for us. Clean and airco worked very well (good because it was so hot out!). Breakfast was nice. We found free public parking not too far away - about five min walk which is fine if not much luggage. Would stay again!
The property was in the perfect location in the old town centre of Sarlat. The apartment was also very modern and had all the amenities you could need, nestled in the heart of what feels like medieval France. Sarlat is a great base from which to explore the rest of the Dordogne region and it’s many chateau.
Staff were friendly, everything was clean and comfortable and the airco worked well. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of free parking on site. The restaurant was nice and was open on a Sunday which is good because many restaurants are closed in France on Sundays.
The location of this hotel is perfect for walking around Sarlat. Staying in a historic building was fun. We had free parking 5 minutes away. When we left a folder of documents at the hotel, they called us promptly which we so appreciated.
We loved our stay at Hotel La Maison des Peyrat! Our hosts were so lovely, friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! There is a beautiful garden and pool area and we had such a relaxing stay.
Beautiful castle not far from Sarlat la Caneda. We love the place where it is located. It has a swimming pool and it was great to chill there when the temperature was almost 40 degrees.
It’s very quiet and the room was comfortable.
From the moment we were greeted by Remi at the front desk we knew we were in good hands. He went out of his way to help us with whatever questions we had. David, the manager, has prepared an excellent team throughout the hotel.
Great location, easy to find parking outside the hotel, although they do have private parking also.
Clean comfortable rooms, and friendly staff.
Just a few minutes walk into Sarlat centre. Would definitely stay there again.
Wonderful hotel right in the centre of Sarlat . Extremely friendly welcoming staff , fabulous accomadation and super breakfast. Sarlat is a beautiful old town with fabulous local shops and an enchanting Christmas market .
Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean, in a good location, free parking, and a nice breakfast, as we were often getting going pretty early. As a bonus, it had air conditioning for the summer heat!
Excellent modern hotel with kitchenette, 1.5 bath, perfect stay for a family of 4. Convenient location within 5 minute walk to town center, public parking lot right in front of the hotel.
Beautiful boutique hotel in a great location in the centre of Sarlat. Super helpful staff. Room was fantastically appointed with a lovely terrace. Highly recommend dinner at aux 3 sens too
Beautiful property, rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Parking right out front and easy walking distance to the centre of Sarlat-la-Canéda.
