View from our room number 5 was of country side horse's enjoying the sunshine and tranquility. Owerners were very welcoming breakfast was great for petite dejeuner, the home made jam was delicious, I made a mistake with the wrong mug for the coffee machine, too small my fault 😅 If you like quilty and piece and quite I can't recommend enough.

La Maison de Mathilde, hotel in Saint-Côme-de-Fresné

La Maison de Mathilde is set in Bayeux, 100 metres from Baron Gerard Museum and 200 metres from Museum of the Bayeux Tapestry.

We stayed in the La Maison rooms, which are a short walk from the main hotel. The hotel in perfectly located near Place D' Quebec for D-day and Mont St. Michel tour meeting place. The breakfast was standard European hotel breakfast, nothing special. It was warm and plentiful. The coffee from a machine was good, not great. We arrived before our room was ready so they kept our luggage in reception, and it was in out room when we checked in. Thank You.

Great hosts who did many things from allowing an early morning check in to posting a stuffed animal we left behind to our home. The cottage is very clean, quiet and just as described. The location is ideal for exploring the D day landing beaches.

    The hosts were very welcoming.

The hosts were very welcoming. We were visiting from the United States so it was difficult to know how to work the appliances not being familiar with French appliances. We couldn’t figure out how to get any heat in the rooms so the evenings were cold. I would have liked to be able to get to the beach straight from the back of the property. But luckily it was a short walk to access the beach.
