It is an old town with renovated centrum which is a good base to explore the region of Walloon and Northern Picardië (Bernissart, Aubeschies, Bavay, Valenciennes, …). Also aside lays a big forest which includes an old mine terril which offers an excellent viewing point over the area.

Good to have a quality hotel as for a while, there was very little. This hotel has clean, comfortable rooms, spacious bathroom. Quiet. Great views across the surrounding countryside. lots of other facilities on site to choose from. good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
