A very authentic Corsican hotel. Staff were wonderful. Located in a beautiful village . Very spacious room, lovely pool area. The hotel restaurant was excellent. Great food at affordable prices. Breakfast was also great value.
Owner efficient, kind, friendly nothing too much trouble. Loved her. Incredible location. Tranquil, idyllic, great restaurants and bars. Superb view. Fresh fish, bread, meat, veg throughout the week.
The hotel is situated in a nice corner in cap of Corsica, 30mins driving from Bastia. There’s small beach just 8 mins away by feet.
We had a chamber with balcony the view is just so great! I watched sunrise every morning when we were they, it was so peaceful.
The breakfast is included in the accommodation, it’s prepared by the host, homemade pancakes, homemade jams, yogurt, biscuits etc, it was quite good, and it’s served on the balcony with sea view.
The host is a very kind lady she gave us the good suggestions about the routine.
Ps: the host doesn’t take bank card so prepare cash or she can take bank transfer.
Excellent place for mountain hiking! Peaceful, spacious. Very nice hosts. Apartment is beautiful and super comfortable. I loved a good big parking behind the house!
The location of the Studio is good to find. Privat parking space, a Pool you can use, Airconditioning, good Bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen with everything you need and a big Fridge. The Host Jana was very kind to us and gave us some tips to do in the surroundings. We enjoyed our staying and would love to come back if we should go to Corsica again.

We were touring Corsica so travelled to many different locations (there are a huge amount of beaches on Corsica and lots and lots of places to eat in many of the villlages). Pietracorbara is a hamlet made up of various villages and seaside areas. We particularly liked Erbalunga which was about a 15 minute drive from La Maison d'Americains. A bit nearer to the house (7 kilometres) is the hostesses family run bar/restaurant "L'Effet Mer" where we spent our last evening. They host live music every few weeks and the restaurant was busy with locals and tourists and had a great ambience. The restaurant is also open during the day for coffee and bar meals.
Lots of walking trails. We managed to find a short walk to the Genoese Bridge (2 kms from Lapedina). Park in public car park and then its a five minute walk down to the river. Its an idyllic spot and the bridge, waterfalls and pools does not fail to disappoint. No signposts to the bridge (its a well kept secret place to go!) so ask your hosts of your accommodation to point you in the right direction!
We travelled for about an hour to Saleccia to visit Parc de Saleccia. Well worth a visit. Beautiful Mediterranean gardens close to sea with a great shop and restaurant. Wonderful beach nearby for a swim after!
