We had a very comfortable stay in this modern apartment, spotlessly clean and well equipped with coffee, cleaning products, etc. It was an easy walk to the Chateau Pierrefonds, the lake and eateries. Take out pizza a few steps away. There is a gated parking lot for the building. Entry was easy using instructions sent by the host.

Lovely place. Can’t fault anything. For the size of town, there’s a great choice of restaurants and cafes in a beautiful setting. The castle is fantastic for those interested in history, especially those who would recognize it from the tv series Merlin. Really nice place to visit during summer.
Really nice place to visit during summer. Nice selection of restaurants and a really great kiosk that sells ice cream. As it's surrounded by forest and has the castle there are plenty of beautiful places to escape the sunshine.

The chateau is fabulous.

Clean toilets and shower, normally shared with other people. Beds were good, we slept well. Breakfast was sufficient and brought to the tent. we enjoyed our stay and loved the beautiful 'camping-like' setup. It is nothing like a hotel or b&b but the outdoors experience was fantastic!!

The place is a literal stone’s throw away from Pierrefonds castle. the building has been lovingly renovated and you get a good sense of history staying there, hence the name Il était une fois.
