Given key to room 9 on arrival but with lots of stairs plus the rooms were on 2 floors with awkward stairs. Also the bedroom had no curtains and view to river not good.
Fortunately room 1 was available and so much better with good views of river. Very well refurbished plus a fridge and coffee maker making it ideal. Also close to Giverny.

The location is absolutely wonderful - the chateau is set in a huge estate of woods and lakes just above the Seine. It is idyllic. Our room was large and comfortable with fabulous views over the parkland (albeit up 68 stairs) and the restaurant attcahed to the hotel is truly excellent. Excellent quiet location. Brigitte was very welcoming and put together a great breakfast before my early start the following morning. I did only stay one night as a stop over on a long drive south but would happily do the same again, but plan to get there earlier!
