This was our penultimate stop on our cycling trip to Brest. Instead of the usual double room, here we had a whole suite - including a little terrace - , in a house that is in the very middle of Le Faou. Very lovely host, who gave us great tips for dinner and breakfast.

Nicole and Serge were such lovely hosts and did everything to make us feel at home. They spent time with us explaining the best places to visit. We actually arrived half an hour early and left a little late too. We were on the motorbike and they let us use the garage, though the house is set back from the road so it would have been tucked away safely anyway. The breakfast was delicious and we loved the view of the palm trees in the garden and river in the distance. We loved the location as we wanted to ride the motorbike on the Crozon peninsula to the West and also through the Mont d'Arrée to the East and then travel on to the South next. Faou itself is quite pretty too.

We spent a night at Annick's during our road trip in Bretagne. They were able to accommodate us at the last minute and welcomed us warmly when we got there. Their place is easy to locate and the parking is a few meters in front of a beautiful church. They have a gorgeous house and the room ( rather a whole floor) is in their house, so it is super cosy, spacious and comfortable! The best sleep we have had in ages! For breakfast, we had great coffee, and fresh bread, croissants, homemade jams etc. While we loved everything about the place, the hosts are the real star of this place! They are both warm, funny, charming and super kind! We wish we had stayed longer and hope that they will be able to accommodate us the next time. We could write a million things and it still couldn't describe how much we loved our stay! Thank you so much!
100% recommend staying at their lovely home!

Le Faou is a charming town but basically consists of two squares and one street, with a few pretty houses, a reasonably interesting church, and a creek. There are no walking trails that start from the town itself, and the river is too muddy for swimming. You will need transport. With a car or bike, the beautiful Crozon peninsula and its beaches are your oyster (and talking of oysters ...) Don't miss the cafe and ice cream shop on the Place des Foires and the patisserie on the main square. The swifts wheeling and diving in and out of the houses in summertime are a sight to see.
