Great location, secure parking, nice hotel and helpful staff. Comfortable bedroom. Parking needs to be paid for but worth it. Can be a bit tricky getting to the location but the hosts supplied information on the route.

The somewhat outdated mid-range hotel was less than a three-minute walk from the train station. The old port and thus also the city center of La Rochelle was surprisingly close, less than ten minutes' walk away. The hotel is somewhat hidden in concrete architecture. My navigation software thought that the hotel was permanently closed. This was wrong. I pointed this problem out at reception.
