An amazing find not far from the medieval town of Usez. The staff were amazing, the restaurant was excellent and this has to be the BEST breakfast in France ! The Chateau is simply gorgeous.
We arrived very late at the hotel after a long drive with kids. Unfortunately we booked a twin bedroom. Too tight for family of four. The lady was making a fuss saying they were fully booked and do not have family room available. Too tired to bother to argue about the wrong booking room type. We just sticked to the booking. No babycot offer/given due to the size of the room I guess. Uncomfortable bed. And worst stay for a start of our holidays. Breakfast was simple but ok.
Exceptional small hotel in an old, family-owned stone house. Owner is a lovely woman, very engaged with her guests and a font of knowledge about the historic surrounding area and activities. Very comfortable rooms, modern bathrooms. Well designed outdoor spaces, inner courtyard for nice daily breakfast and much frequented pool with comfortable lounge chairs.
The breakfast, and all the food at this lovely, gastronomic hotel, is fantastic. Our hosts were lovely and helpful. Having stayed here before, I know the rooms differ and are a bit quirky. Hey, it's an historic building with character. The rooms at Le Castellas do not disappoint. Our breakfasts and dinners were outstanding!
Reception staff were very good and our room was upgraded for free! Excellent modern features like motion lights to save electricity. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Both were very good, and the staff worked so hard to accommodate everyone.
Lovely property, very nice and helpful
owner, big and spacious with great pool (main bit is quite deep so better for swimmers). Collias is great, would recommend L’Enclos by the river and Le Barralet for pizza with a view (and kids playground).
The food was great, for dinner there was little choice but that wasn’t necessary because the flavours were exceptional! The village is quiet and authentic and beautiful and the hotel has lots of character. Friendly welcome, even for our dog.
This hotel is a true gem, offering not only luxurious accommodations but also an exceptional dining experience at their splendid restaurant. 10 out of 10
