It was just lovely! Very peaceful farm with a great garden in the middle of the hills of Normandy. Loved the comfy room and every cute detail with a reference to the local town. The breakfast was delicious with homemade Normandy croissant! The owner was also very friendly and gave us plenty of tips about region, dinner restaurants around and advised us on when to get to the super crowded museum of Monet in Giverny without having to wait in the queue. I would love to come back there.

Given key to room 9 on arrival but with lots of stairs plus the rooms were on 2 floors with awkward stairs. Also the bedroom had no curtains and view to river not good.
Fortunately room 1 was available and so much better with good views of river. Very well refurbished plus a fridge and coffee maker making it ideal. Also close to Giverny.

The location is absolutely wonderful - the chateau is set in a huge estate of woods and lakes just above the Seine. It is idyllic. Our room was large and comfortable with fabulous views over the parkland (albeit up 68 stairs) and the restaurant attcahed to the hotel is truly excellent.
