The flat and its situation were very pleasant but not suitable for us who are in our mid eighties. Had this been clearer it would have been helpful. Also more clarity about the address would have been useful. The owner when phoned was good and we managed and enjoyed our stay. This is not a complaint but a suggestion that the advert and name of property be improved

Lovely old house in rural edge of town, which has an excellent choice of restaurants . Marie is a very pleasant and friendly host.
We were not visiting Bernay. The hotel was an overnight stop avoiding Rouen centre hotels, and the cheap hotels in the surrounding suburbs. Most of which I find ghastly. We ate at the adjacent restaurant, as there was no obvious alternative in the immediate vicinity. An interesting if not inexpensive experience, but hey we're on holiday and would go there again.

Bernay is a lovely quiet town with all the amenities you will need. Be careful though on market days (we arrived on Saturday)the streets are closed to traffic until 3.30 . Would recommend the restaurants at the bottom of the main street very good food and lovely staff.
We liked the self check in as it was nice and easy for us on arrival. The room was lovely and clean with plenty of space - the bathroom was huge with lots of towels. We were very comfortable for one night. Breakfast in the morning was fine, fairly basic but adequate. The children really enjoyed the pool. We ate at a nearby asian style buffet restaurant, set price as much as you want was brilliant and easy, very close. The property has lots parking and Bernay was walking distance and some lovely shops for gifts. Very happy with our stay.
This is a lovely bed-and-breakfast type of lodging in what was once a lovely home. It has large, safe, private parking, and is situated in a park-like atmosphere with a deck area and pool. The Lodge is close to downtown Bernay and walkable to restaurants. Our first night we were in a small room on the top floor, and the hostess graciously moved us to very large room a floor lower for our 2nd night. The breakfast is very good too. We would highly recommend.
We loved the couple who now own the hotel. It’s an old place and shows some wear and tear but the new owners have only been there 6 months. It has a lot of potential. It was perfect for our needs. We were only passing through on our way to a factory tour. We would stay again. It has a very homey feel to it - just needs a little modernizing. It was very clean. Bernay, by the way, is a lovely little town with a small river passing through it. Easy to explore.
just 10 minutes from the A28 so very good for overnight stopover.
Breakfast really good. plenty of choices like eggs boiled or omelette. Ham and selection of meat, cheese, fruit yoghurts, pastries, bread and other items along with drinks.
We dined in the restaurant located next door to the hotel and had an excellent dinner.
would we go back …. most definitely.
Room exceeded my expectations, very spacious, well equipped, comfy bed with quality linen and all very clean.
The continental breakfast was fresh with lots of choice.
Location is excellent with it being a short stroll to the lovely little town of Bernay.
Host Ingrid is super welcoming and can not do enough to ensure you have a great stay.
Second stay here - easy access to bernay on foot, free parking, lovely pool area, fantastic breakfast. The room we had was perfect for a family of four, massive bedroom, fridge and microwave which are very handy when travelling with toddlers. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel
Location was easy to find, on the hill as you enter the town of Bernay. Plenty of off-road parking. Spacious breakfast area and conservatory. Very comfortable and warm rooms and the bed was perfect, I managed 6 hours solid sleep which was a bonus.
Out of town hotel so very quiet with a restaurant in the car park, very convenient for onwards journey. Staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was ok but not spectacular. Room was clean and comfortable and just about big enough
Safe parking, supermarket opposite (but quiet location), Bernay village with restaurants in walking distance - perfect for a stopover from Le Shuttle.
Bonus of a fridge with icebox - again, great when travelling on.

On the plus side, email correspondence with the owner provided us with a good recommendation for dining out in Bernay, including the offer to book the restaurant for us
