Albi is a fabulous city. The cathedral, the walks by the river Tarn, the bridges, the history, the theatre, the cinemas, there's so much choice! The local cuisine is great. Take the 30 minute bus ride from the Gare Routière and, for 4 Euros return, explore Cordes-sur-Ciel. Cross the bridge and find Cedric Millet, a patisserie like no other. The studio we stayed in had a good sized balcony and we loved breakfasts with birdsong and the garden.

Dominique, the host was funny, kind and very helpful. He gave us lots of advice, a map of the town and was very chatty. We stayed on the top floor in a clean and comfortable room. The location was very close to Albi Ville and a short walk to the old town. Breakfast was homemade pancakes and his own fig jam as well as other items/coffee etc and was lovely served in the garden.
