We had a fantastic stay at Jokiranta - so much so that we stayed an extra night! The house and location were perfect for a family trip with three children. We really enjoyed the wood-burning sauna, riverside location and berries in the garden! Wonderful 6000 year old rock paintings and UNESCO heritage factory near a cute nature path. Shops, libraries, cinemas and cafes within driving distance. We were there for the beautiful "ruska" time when leaves change color and birds migrate. The cottage is quite isolated which gives it a very peaceful atmosphere.
