The reception staff, was a very friendly and serviceminded woman, it was a pleasure meeting her. As was the young woman who was servicing the small lobby bar/snack bar (described as restaurant, I believe).

The location is very convenient for travelling north. Parking is easy.
We were given a twin room, although we booked a double. This room had no wardrobe and only 1 light working in the main room.
We went back to reception to change for a double room. This room was an improvement as it had 2 lights working in the main room but only 1 in the bathroom. Both rooms were jaded with wallpaper ripped non matching light fittings and a large amount of tiny polystyrene balls on the floor and shelving surface.
We have stayed here for many years and we were particularly disappointed because the menu del dia was no longer available and the general menu was lacking in freshness of days gone by. The grill restaurant was vast in area. We were not greeted in a friendly manner, infact it took some time for the staff to appear at all.
Sad to say for the extra E20 per night it is no longer a favourite stay and we will be looking for an alternative hotel for future trips. Such a shame.

The hotel is overlooking the cathedral, so location-wise it couldn't be better. We arrived by car and the hotel has it's own underground car park. You just need to request a parking space in your booking. The staff on the reception desk were fantastic; very helpful and accommodating. Our room overlooked the cathedral which was very dramatic at night. The room was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, and again there was a good view of the cathedral from the dining room.
