Lovely rustic base on the hillside just outside Montellano. Beautiful gardens that are even better in real life than the photos. We stayed on a windy rainy night so couldn’t make the most of the outdoor space but we had a roaring fire that did a great job of heating the house. We met the host in town and were accompanied to the Ranchito so we didn’t get lost, so don’t worry that the location showing on booking.com is the meeting point rather than the property address that is about 2km out of town.

Local area great for hiking, Sendero Río Majaceite following a lovely river with lots of small waterfalls and on the peaks around Grazalema.

Great location, convenient for old centre and Park Offices, yet quiet on side-street. Well-kept and well-organised, provided useful information and good advice about walks, park office hours etc. Helpful staff.
