After a very long, cold and wet bicycle ride on the Camino Via de Plata, we were warmly greeted by Paloma. In all our years of cycling we have never been so cold and wet and near hypothermia. Paloma was amazing she was so thoughtful and kind. She quickly identified how distressed we were and suggested that we went immediately to our room and had a hot bath/shower and change out of our soaking wet clothes, then she would be able to complete the necessary formalities. We were in no state to do much else. That was such a relief. As we were very late arriving and too late for lunch the lovely gentleman in the bar was able to prepare a simple hot meal for us…a really tasty, imaginative burger. The lady at breakfast the next morning was equally helpful and friendly. She very kindly gave me a chocolate brownie with a candle on the top (when she found out it was my birthday!). During our stay our bikes were stored in a secure place, that was really helpful. The room was extremely comfortable and toasty warm so we were easily able to dry out our soaking wet clothes and shoes etc.
Tierra De Lobos is located in Puebla de Sanabria, 20 minutes' drive from the Spanish-Portuguese border. It has a restaurant serving traditional grilled meat which you can enjoy on the terrace.
This establishment is located in the historic-artistic centre of the town, in a building dating from the 18th century.

Superb location in the old medieval town, rooms large and we'll equipped, food in restaurant the best we've had in the last two weeks. Rooms large and modernised and retain original features, bathroom included jacuzzi. Service first class from Jose and his team, highly recommended.
One of our party was ill, and Jose took us to the local hospital to make sure he was looked after, he was exceptional, I cannot speak highly enough of all of the staff at the hotel... José' wife Patri in the bar, his mother the chef and Aurori front of house. Nothing too much trouble, rooms, food and hospitality first class. We will be back!
