Small hotel among the rice fields of the Ebro delta. Quiet. Has a good restaurant, however with restricted opening times.
L’Aldea town itself is not attractive like most of the towns...
L’Aldea town itself is not attractive like most of the towns round here but the countryside and wildlife in the area around the Mas is. Wide views of traditional farms growing artichokes, rice, market veg. This is a great base to visit the Ebro Delta by bike, on foot or by car.
We hired electric bikes near Deltebro and did a half day round route through the natural park down to the sea. Great spots to see Flamingos, Herons, Ducks, Egrets etc. The eco museum in Deltaebre is worth a visit. Very helpful staff too. Other musts are a boat trip from Embocatura to the end of the delta and back then lunch at Restsutante CASA Loli. On the terrace. Great rice dishes..arroz abanda and local seafood and veg, with attentive professional service. Correct price. Worth visiting La Tancada then drive down to the end. Incredible views and best siting of Flamingos! Best visited by bike. Amazing exoerience!
This is a relaxed old farmhouse, outside a nondescript town, but in a quiet and pleasant location. The place is low-key, but welcoming. The rooms are tasteful, and the dining room, replete with parts of an old olive press, attractive and comfortable. The food is good and the couple that run the place are charming and helpful. The hotel is well-placed for a stop-over on the way north or for exploring the Ebro delta.
The hotel is located in a picturesque landscape, isolated from chaos and noise. Perfect place to rest. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is just outstanding. Great value for the price. Would definitely return and enjoy more of the area.
What's not to like? We come here every summer since 2019. Great people, great food and great facilities. What a lovely family running the hotel. See you next year.
