Quirky hotel set in natural if somewhat over grown grounds, Large rooms done in old fashioned style.
Secure car park as en route to Ferry from Southern Spain
This typical, stone country building is set in the Sierra de Madrid, 40 minutes' drive from the city centre. Located in the tranquil village of La Cabrera, it offers free Wi-Fi.

Amazing. Some comments left talk about ‘finishes’ and being very rustic - people, these, as advertised, are RUSTIC CABINS. The place is a gem. Yes, some tweaks can be made, broom and towel mat, but the setting, the detail of the cabins, the amazing pellet heaters, the 100% cotton sheets (or so they seem). Easy check in, a wee bit difficult to find as lack of signage, but not a big issue. I love this place as a weekend getaway and that it’s a work in progress!
Set in La Cabrera, Cueva romántica - Jacuzzi offers accommodation with a plunge pool, a balcony and inner courtyard views. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.
The town is a small village along the highway. There are several cafe's and restaurants, check on the internet for opening hours. We normally eat near our hostal. We also take a little walk up and down the main street. Not that much going on, but perfect, if you are on the move, and you just need one overnight stay, before you move on.

Coming south through Spain, an ideal location to spend a night north of Madrid, around 350 kms from Santander.
'what's simple works best' is how I would helpfully describe this hotel. Good rooms, beds, bathroom, locals were curious and friendly, menu del dia was OK, so were snacks. Parking........tight......watch out for the support posts.
Good to be fresh for tackling the ring road next morning. Would use this hotel again.

A beautiful small town at the base of the mountains.
A beautiful small town at the base of the mountains. Lovely area in Centre with bars and little shops used by locals which gives a great atmosphere. A few good restaurants within walking distance of where we stayed. Good stop off place between North coast ferries and Southern Spain. We toured into the mountains to the West and discovered some lovely friendly villages. Beatifyl views too.

It could have really done with an electric or cooker kettle , stayed before and this time took a travel kettle, really needs one as tea or coffee is a must for most people, microwave hot water is a bit of a pain.
Small pick, but otherwise an excellent place to stay.
Have stayed here many times on the way to ferries in Northern Spain , travelling with two dogs, we are always given a room with an outside space with table and chairs and room for the dogs to play .The rooms are always very clean and comfortable with A/C in the summer months , well stocked kitchen with , washing machine , oven , micro wave , fridge freezer etc .parking is available on site if needed , There is a shop just across the road and a supermarket at the end of the road .Good value for money .
The hotel was very quiet when we were there which was great, but this may depend on the season. The breakfast was really great, great food, very relaxed, great service. The staff that worked there were really friendly, was a pleasure chatting to them.
Room was spacious and nicely furnished, great facilities. Nice big fireplace which we made use of both nights we were there.
Overall, great and we will return soon.
Unfortunately the hotel is closed on a Monday, i already knew this as i had stayed here before, but the hotel over the road is open for breakfast. The hotel is just off the motorway and very easy to find. The internet connection is very good and free. the room is large and very clean. The restaurant attached to the hotel has a large and varied menu and is very reasonably priced.
Lourdes the owner is friendly and very attentive I am extremely happy with our decision to stay in this hotel. The view of the mountains actually WE WERE on those mountains, incredible. Plus the rural - little town is extraordinary.
Friendly staff, although they don't speak English. The room was huge. Breakfast has a lot of choices.
The location is good if you want to stay north of Madrid: 15 min from Buitrago de Lozoya, 1 hour from Segovia (driving)
We chose this hotel because of its locations and the location was perfect as it was not too far from the motorway. Also it was super clean. Ok for one night, rooms are quite outdated but you can see it in the pictures.
The area is well know to us and a great stopping point the staff were extremely helpful and friendly
We will be staying there again and will recommend the hotel to friends and family
Great location in a quiet village not far from Madrid. Lot's of hiking trails in the mountains around. The host was super friendly and helpful with everything we needed.
