Honestly I can not say enough good things about this place.
Although it's really a hotel, not a hostel but that doesn't matter.
I really appreciated the little heater and the filterd water.
The family that owns it is very nice and helpful.
He even went and bought a small reading light for me to use. It was awesome.

The location was perfect, close to many places. Taxi stand two blocks away for further trips. Orlando, the owner, was great! He was always here to greet us as we'd come and go, gave us great recommendations for restraunts and was genuinely concerned about making sure everything was to our satisfaction.
Small town. Go slow, take in the ruins, walk all the trails available. Feel the energy. Great starting point to get you into Sangay National Park. Recommend you go into the Archaeological site more than once.
