Spent a week in May 2023. Apartment was beautiful, big, clean and modern. Excellent quiet balcony to sit on in the evening overlooking the Schwarzwald Hills. Received a pass from the owner for free public transport and free access to the Oberkirch communal swimming pool (which is very close by and excellent to both relax and for the kids to play for hours). Walking routes are straight out of the front of property into the farmers fruit- and vineyards into the forest. Oberkirch offers all the shops and restaurants needed. As can be seen.....we loved it and we will be returning. Many thanks!

Very nice place, better to live out of the city, closer to nature. The city is very clean and beautiful, it has a rich culture, a lot of restaurants, even a vegan one.
Around the town you have the Blackforest, a lot of wineries, where you can try and buy local wines and liqueurs, local fruits. You would probably want to walk a lot in the woods as well as take a bus or train and discover other villages and towns around. Then enjoy those amazing sunsets with a glass of wine. We spent a week there and would return for 10-14 days next time.

Oberkirch is a pretty town on the edge of the Black Forest.
Oberkirch is a pretty town on the edge of the Black Forest. It makes an excellent place for a one or two night break on a longer journey. Do visit Renner’s Wine Shop. The local wines are very good and very reasonably priced. There are plenty of good eating places on the Main Street. The castle is interesting, but rather a climb to reach. There are seasonal strawberry and wine festivals.
The hotel had nice comfortable and spacious rooms with a beautiful view on the mountains. very clean facilities.
The restaurant was very good, we had to reserve as it was full every evening. Very friendly staff.
The breakfast was also great with a good choice of bread, viennoiserie, fruit, granola, etc…
The hotel is situated nicely at 1 hour drive from Strassbourg and some nice smaller towns in the close area. We went for a beautiful walk at Allerheiligen Waterfalls. We enjoyed our stay very much!
This was a fantastic hotel - our family room was the size of a full apartment, complete with a large bathroom and even a laundry machine. The local beer selection was fun to try when we returned that night. Breakfast was amazing and staff were very friendly and helpful - gave great recommendations on dining, wineries, and a nearby Christmas market.
What a little gem! Super dog friendly, indoor pool, many languages spoken by the staff, great customer service from everyone we interacted with.
Really pretty small town. We loved the restaurant for dinner and the included breakfast had a good selection. We hiked up the past vineyards and orchards directly in front of the hotel.
Spotless clean hotel with large rooms. The bathroom was a little old fashioned but mixing well with the overall style of the hotel. Attentive staff. Oversized breakfast buffet with excellent choice. Eggs are prepared on demand. Situated in the middle of the small town. Sufficient free parking space at the rear of the hotel
We chose this accomodation because it is close to Strasbourg (30 minutes by car). The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Clean bathroom. The staff was very kind, communication with them was really easy. Free parking near the hotel. The breakfast was very good and varied at only 6 Euro/person/day.
We received a very friendly welcome by frau Cipolla. It was a very spacious and clean house with sufficient privacy, and our dogs were welcome! Very short walk to the centre of Oberkirch (with bakeries!) and very close to a small green park. We very much enjoyed our stay!
The hotel room was extremely nice and really clean. The size of the room was very really good and the renovations were awesome. The bed was very comfortable and I love the bathroom. Everyone that worked at the hotel and restaurant were really nice and helpful.
Clean, comfortable, and spacious family room. Good restaurant and very nice breakfast.
The bonus: our kids really enjoyed the playground in the woods that is 5 min walk from the hotel. Perfect after a day of drive.
Stefan was an excellent host. Hotel Is perfectly located and was spotlessly clean. Our room (a standard room), was quite comfortable. Shower was perfect with plenty of hot water.
Breakfast was lavish.
