we just spent one night and we found it totally spontaneous. We never heard about the Bernsteinsee before. The room was really clean and comfortable. It was really quiet as well.

Everything just perfect 😉👍 …I’m on my two weeks trip around Germany and this was my top accommodation so far in range of my budget. For the money you pay (€66 per night with breakfast) you simply cannot get anything better 😉 Very clean room, everything modern and looks like new even though it is been there for 10 years. Breakfast very fresh, nice coffee and even an option for a fried eggs 😋 10 out 10 is not enough 👍

In the middle of nowhere, but you knew before you booked, I guess ;) Nice littel hotel. charm limited in dark and rainy weather. might be better in spring or summer. The village has absolutely nothing to offer, but you are in the middle of nature. Lots of things to see around. The boss is a bit grumpy first, but then very kind. Let me stay until noon next day. Some infrastructure like kitchen, fridge, mosty for temporary workers (Montage). Rooms are ok. Not really big, but modern and clean. There is a restaurant which was closed when I arrived. Looked at the menu, interesting, but steep prices. Would have tried if it had been open.
