Set on a lovely little beach on a small channel overlooking Aitutaki private resort, swim right out the front door, unlimited use of kayaks. Quite area, had new beach loungers. We stayed in unit 1 it had a new comfy bed with clean bedding, aircon also worked well. They also offer car and scooter hire on site.
A few cafes close by. Breakfast at Koru Cafe was good. The boat shed for a drink was ok but wouldn't eat there again. Excellent food, drinks and the best hospitality next door at the Aitutaki Village resort, they made us feel so welcome and booked lagoon cruise for us. Gave us milk .. The hosts and staff absolutely outstanding and friendly. This resort is undergoing renovations however don't be deterred by this, still the best in the area by far.
This area is far away from the rest of the island you need to hire a car or bike to get supplies or sightseeing
Located in the Ureia Village, Paparei Beachfront Bungalows, Aitutaki offers beach-side accommodation with free airport transfers.

Fabulous location and the hosts were always around to answer any questions and give helpful advice. Well set up accommodation with beautiful outlook and we could walk to several lovely local restaurants and supermarkets. There are no dogs on Aitutaki which is a pleasant relief, however there are friendly cats. The snorkelling is fantastic especially on the lagoon cruise.

Absolutely beautiful!
Kura, the owner, greeted us at the Aitutaki airport with a beautiful lei of flowers, gave us a drive around the island. Our cabin was perfect- with the added delights of fresh pineapples & coconuts. So comfortable, close to food outlets, a washing machine. One of the loveliest places we've stayed in. 🌺
Highly recommend.

The location is breath-taking. The bungalow is beautifully clean and comfortable with everything you can possibly need. Nothing is too much trouble for host - Niki - taking care of airport transfers and even a town tour upon arrival. Fantastic takeaway right next door together with convenience store.

Simple but really nice huts right on the beach. It has everything you need for your stay, beach was great for snorkeling or just chilling and you can rent scooter (25NZD/day) or bikes for free here. And the lagoon cruise with Matthias was out of the world, we really recommend it.
Tai Roto Bay offers spacious, authentic accommodation located on its own private beach on the southern tip from Ootu beach. It is a beach front property and safe to swim at all tides.

I absolutely love this place, I hope to look here again. The host was very nice, we could borrow scooter and kayaks and helped us with everything we needed. :)
The weather was not the best, so hampered our judgement.

The people were very nice and we were very pleased to have a rental car with Aircon, so we covered the whole island on driving adventures!
However, it would be more convenient if the car hire places were at the airport, and/or they would work in more closely with the plane arrivals and departures (We had to wait 2 hours for our plane because the company dropped us there at 5pm, which is the latest they will work...)
The two cafes (Avatea & Koru), and the Pacific resort, were excellent!

Include a walk around the island to get the feel of its fabulous location. We put the ambience before our food expectations - breakfasts were generous, lunches were our most enjoyed and the dinners relaxing with Thursday happy hour, local musicians playing and the location adding to a great holiday. A great Resort particularly suitable for young couples with as much or as little activity available as one could wish for.

The island of Aitutaki is not for everyone.
The island of Aitutaki is not for everyone. There are no fancy shops or malls and limited deluxe restaurants. It is a place to get away from the busy life and enjoy peace and quiet. Walking the beaches and swimming are the main attractions.

Requests were not always met. Mostly closed on Island. restaurants would not allow us to book for dinner, they informed they were booked out. Couldn't get on excursions as they were saving them for a cruise ship.
Waste of time going there.

Beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea surrounded and protected by a reef. Great location for those amazing South Pacific sunsets. There is no public transport so would highly recommend hiring a scooter or car unless you are in a hotel that caters for your every need and you don't want to explore the island.

Awesome Island and people; great food and easy living.
Awesome Island and people; great food and easy living. Hated to leave. Untouched island. Hope they preserve their way of life for years to come. "Enjoy your visit in Aitutaki and don't forget to leave".
Overall the whole stay was great. Big shout to Maine and all the Paradise cove stuff for getting things done and being so accommodating and helping with all our queries and requests. The hotel's location is excellent, and the beach is cleaned regularly. The included breakfast is absolutely fantastic and generous. You will definitely find more fancy and luxurious places down the road, but you can hardly beat Paradise cove's value for money.
The location is amazing, the room offer is really good and easy access to kayaks, bicycles etc- very self contained. The staff is friendly and try to give you the best experience, they all remember your name. The hotel is very quiet and tranquil and also located in a really good area of the lagoon. There’s a great local restaurant nearby and easy access to the main road for a bike ride. Aitutaki is beautiful and definitely worth the stay.
Aitutaki Seaside is a lttle gem of a property. Basic facilities but all you need. A huge balcony gives the perfect view for all the whales that cruise by. Extremely private and away from everything and everyone. Perfect swimming spots ten minutes either way on the beach. The staff are so beautiful and kind. Lovely to talk to and if you need anything, it's never a problem. We wouldnt stay anywhere else!!! A hgue thank you to Te and Grace.
Location close to the airport and other posher hotels, beachfront basic villa with everything we needed.
Yummy delicious breakfast delivered to the door, airport transfers.
The staff even cleaned the beachfront, more than some of the others do!
Nice friendly host. Couldn't fault the place.
Would definitely stay there again.
Tai Roto is steps away from a gorgeous bay in the lagoon surrounding Aitutaki. The staff are friendly and helpful and warm. The breakfast is a tropical delight and delivered to your bungalow each day so you wake up to coffee, fruit, cereal, yogurt and other treats. I would highly recommend this property for a stay in Aitutaki.
Well maintained traditional island style resort with two pools and a good restaurant. Bures are of a high standard and are very well maintained. The beds are comfortable. The front desk can book activities etc - a lagoon snorkelling trip is really a must. The Aitutaki Lagoon really is sublime!
The property is one of a kind! Aitutaki Village gives you amazing access to its private lagoon, and the hosts Jane and Robin were wonderful guides to the island. The location is peaceful, yet easy to access all the best parts of Aitutaki. We loved our stay!
Good location with a nice beach, nice, clean and cozy huts with everything you need. Lagoon tour was really good. You could walk along the beach to restaurants of nearby hotels in case you didn't want to cook. Free bikes were great to explore the island.
Cheran the manager was very pleasant and helpful. The location was very nice with beautiful view of the lagoon. Short walk to several restaurants and the Aitutaki Private Resort for coffee or dining with a great view.
This was a beautiful property with the best swimming location in all aitutaki. The deluxe rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The bike, kayaks and paddle board in room were fantastic
Wonderful staff more than happy to help! You can tell how much the family run business takes pride in their hotel. Great location! Loved the cultural night presented by the locals.
Loved the location and hotel in Aitutaki. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, always happy to see us and give advice.
Beautiful gardens surrounding the hotel.
We needed a place to stay for one night before checking into another hotel. The location is great, right by the beach. The dinner we had at the Restaurant was very good.
