We took the ferry as foot passengers from Digby.
We took the ferry as foot passengers from Digby. There is a good taxi service from the ferry terminal. St John offers interesting walks (the reversing rapids is a good day trip on foot), a buzzing nightlife. It's an industrial city with interesting old buildings. Unfortunately the museum is closed indefinitely - hopefully that will be resolved.

It is a beautiful and interesting city.
It is a beautiful and interesting city. We didn't have time to explore much in the city, as we spent more time exploring along the coast. We enjoyed visiting the sea caves, the Bay of Fundy Trail, and the Reversing Falls.

It is a nice town with a lot of history.
It is a nice town with a lot of history. There are some nice places to walk along the water and the reversing falls are cool (best to have a car to visit since you have to go twice a day to get the full effect) We went to two nice restaurants when we were there, and we enjoyed wandering around the container village, the market. Billy's seafood was really good.
There is a bit of a homelessness issue. There are many people who are homeless who seem to mill around the city. We had a number of people yell at us as we walked and it was not pleasant.

The microbrewery/pubs were great.
The microbrewery/pubs were great. The downtown area is interesting. It is an industrial city. We went to the reversing falls. The center is across the street from the Irving Pulp and Paper factory. A bit disappointing.

We loved Saint John a lot . The people are very friendly. We also loved looking at the old buildings around town . The reversing falls are a must see ! We'll be back to stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites as well . Their staff are super friendly ,and a sweet young lady helped me find the perfect beach ⛱ great experience
The apartment met our expectations; it looks exactly like in the pictures.
The beds were comfortable and we slept really well.
The instructions for check-in and check-out were clear and easy to follow. It is easy to get the room key for the apartment.
We did not use the kitchen much but found everything we needed. We were happy to use the washing machine and dryer, though. Worked perfectly.
We liked that the apartment was within walking distance to restaurants and shops in Saint John, and we could leave our car at "home".
Carl and Jim and the Mahagony Manor were a real find. Sitting out on the front porch in the evening for conversation made us feel at home. They are both warm and delightful and an integral part of Saint John which allowed us to have a insightful understanding of the gifts of of the community. Extra perks included being able to book amazing massages by Carl and have access to laundry. Great food, wonderfully quiet and within walking distance of everything. We'll definitely return there.
The staff at the front desk were all very knowledgeable and helpful.
The location was great - just a short walk unto the Harbour Passage walk into the old town.
Fantastic room - it had all the features you want, and it was the only hotel on this trip that included a safe in the room
Great breakfast - well done, lots of choices
Breakfast was great. I only got to have breakfast on the day I was checking out. The event I attended started very early and the kitchen opened at the time when I had to leave. The hotel was close to my activity and also to some very nice attractions (Reversing Falls, Irving Nature Park). The staff were helpful and professional.
A lovely, and, as the name indicates, historic property which was spacious, very well maintained, which allowed us to enjoy the craftsmanship of the building and furnishings for which Saint John was famous.
The breakfast was well prepared and presented in the lovely dining room overlooking the Harbour.
Great location. close to downtown Saint John and the reversing rapids. The owners are the loveliest people. And the breakfasts were the best we have ever had at a bed and breakfast. Gourmet chef quality. The interior and decor is old world charm. Beautiful view from the backyard.
We were blessed with amazing weather. The hotel was beautiful, clean and modern. The view of the harbour is picturesque and stunning. We went to the Family entertainment centre and got to see who the bowling champion was. We will definitely be back.
Breakfast was simple but good. Various choices of cereal, hot breakfast, fruit, or waffles. Location is walking distance to gas stations, grocery store, McDonald’s, and Tim Hortons. Close drive to downtown Quispamsis and not far from Saint John.
Fantastic location in Saint John, cool house itself with a great history. It was easy to get around the city from here and our hosts were super communicative with us even before our stay.
The location is great for anyone visiting Saint John. The restaurant had delicious food and the beds were very comfortable. The check-in process is always quick and painless.
A wide variety of breakfast fare and very pleasant staff.
Lovely ambience as you entered the hotel.
