Very clean slightly quirky property , originally a farm and now ultra modern design but with highland cattle to remind you of its beginnings! Very good food and spa. Nice walks including in to town. The Charlevoix region train stops right outside in high season so you can explore along the river. Wish we had booked for longer.
Hotel Baie Saint Paul features Le Gourmet restaurant, on-site massages and a gym. Guest rooms include free WiFi and the hotel is nearby skiing, snowmobiling and dog sledding.

The Refuge is in a lovely peaceful location with beautiful views across the St Lawrence. There’s a deck out front to relax and enjoy the views and listen to the rushing stream nearby. There’s also a fully enclosed BBQ area which is great in the evenings to avoid insect attacks. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cutlery plus a decent range of cooking appliances. Jacques was lovely and gave us a very warm welcome and a very thorough run through of all the property’s features.

We received over 60 cms of snow within 48 hours of our stay so we enjoyed fabulous downhill skiing and the 7.5 km sledding course at Le Massif, as well as cross country skiing and snow shoeing at Sentier des Caps, Beautiful scenery and lots of birds!

Le Massif is a terrific mountain to ski. That’s why we come.
Le Massif is a terrific mountain to ski. That’s why we come. You can’t get better than skiing over the St Lawrence river - watching the ships, the ice floes and the tides. It’s simply glorious.
The resort is excellent. Lines are short, runs are well groomed and there are a lot of fun tree runs.
Les Sommets is close to the lift and easy access - about a ten minute drive from the bottom, twenty to the top
Parking. And you wake up to the view. Very serene.

We did not visit this area but the chalet is very close to baie saint paul and the other river towns so it was a good location and we felt close to areas we wanted to visit. It's about 10 min to baie saint paul which is the bigger town with restaurants and other tourist attractions.

Beautiful and quiet village.
Beautiful and quiet village. Right on the shore of the St-Lawrence river. You can walk on the shore and a beach is also present. Close to other interesting regional sites like Baie St-Paul and Le Massif.

- The location is very good in a pretty little village outside the main Baie Saint Paul.
It's a great place to walk along the water and be away from all the other tourists.
- The building itself is very cute and comfortable and the staff and check in are very easy going and efficient.
- The walking path near the building is quite nice.
- The breakfast is extremely good for this hotel. You have many choices and it is made to order. This was a highlight.
Being an english speaker everyone at the bed and breakfast was so welcoming. I was actually a little bit surprised, I thought it would be just a hotel, but when they told us breakfast was included I was estatic. The pictures of this place do not do it justice, the cozy cabin vibes were so real with slippers available to us and a hot tub on the terrace.
The location of the auberge provided a wonderful view of the massive St. Lawrence River and was a very short walk to a picturesque riverside park. Our room was fully equipped with every amenity. We especially enjoyed using the hot tub on the hotel terrace. And most importantly, the staff were welcoming and attentive and made our short stay a delight.
