It was cozy and warm with a very serene view over the lake. I sat on the deck and watched the sunrise most mornings. Dog friendly, well-appointed and clean. Also - very nice neighbors. WIFI was excellent.
Just a 15 minute drive to Wolfville or New Minas.

The house is in a great location for exploring the valley - 10 minutes from New Minas / Kentville & Wolfville.
The facilities such as the washer / dryer were super helpful to have access to.
Kristen the owner was very friendly from the start and helpful with any questions.
The bedroom was a good size as was the entrance porch.

We only had 2 days in the area and wanted a central location...
We only had 2 days in the area and wanted a central location and New Minas was perfect. Wolfville is just down the road & there were several places to visit there (Grand Pre, Tangled Gardens) but found it too crowded and busy. The second day was spent visiting small towns (Kentville, Port Williams, Centreville, Canning) in the country side (cheese stores, craft breweries, antique shops as well as the Bay of Fundy. Drove to Hall's Harbour for supper (lobster roll) and were home before dark. It's easy to get around New Minas and area and this motel is on the main strip where all the usual restaurants are and Tim Horton's is just across the street.

Lots of great stores for shopping
Lots of great stores for shopping Big Stop restaurant was great for lunch and dinner and is within walking distance. Very easy to drive the main road through New Minas. I wouldn't avoid anything next visit. Very easy to get to the rest of the valley,

We picked berries while we were there and bought vegetables...
We picked berries while we were there and bought vegetables from the local farmers. We ate at the Swiss Chalet which was reasonable and helped me keep to my diet by adding salad instead of fries for no additional price. Didn't spend enough time there to evaluate. Almost all of my time was with my colleagues (Apple Valley Riders, Motorcycle Club) who organized a major continental motorcycle rally there for the North American branch of the Federation Internationale du Motocyclisme

New Minas is located very close to everything and in the middle of it all. Wolfville, Grand Pre, Gaspereau (Vineyards), Port Williams and Kentville are all very close by. There is also some good shopping in the area and two very large grocery stores. If you're a frugal shopper there are several consignment/thrift stores in the area worth checking out as well as a Value Village!!!ConnieCanada
