15mins walk into the main street of San Ignacio. Fridge , AC and hot water in the shower. Acres of space for parking. Simple room but very clean and excellent for us - we stayed an extra night. There is an (expensive) supermarket on the corner opposite to buy things for breakfast - as long as you don't want alcohol of any sort! This place suited us down to the ground. No qualms whatsoever about staying here again should we return.

The host was super kind and went above and beyond to accommodate me and my mother after we had a terrible experience at Kane Villas, which was overpriced and vacant with no host or hostess. I recommend staying at Pine Ridge Lodge over anywhere else in this area. The facility is super clean, off the grid, and the staff makes you feel comfortable and at home. You can't go wrong staying at Pine Ridge Lodge if you are ever in the mountains of San Ignacio, Belize! The creek behind the rooms is a pleasant sound to fall asleep and wake up to! :) Two thumbs up!!!!

Great location at the top of the hill and right beside Cahal Pech. The restaurant food was amazing. The pool was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They filled up our water bottles when we left and provided us transport down the hill on a very hot day, which was very appreciated.

Location was fantastic. Very central, and not noisy.
Air conditioning was very good - cooled the room down quickly, and was quiet! Considering the highs of +43C, this was very much appreciated!
Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
Access to the butterfly reserve and pool at the Midas hotel (20 minute walk away) was much appreciated.

Max is a really good host. Max immediately helps when it's needed. The room is very comfy and the small fridge is a very welcoming addition given the high temperatures.
The building is on walking distance from the city centre and very good accessible.

The hostel is very cute with the big tree in the lobby giving a sort of tree house vibe. We had private room, and it was spacious and with a/c! The location was great. There is a kitchen with everything you need. And Linda (a staff member) was such a nice person!

Nice small city- nice people. Very close to Tikal in Guatemala- an excellent historic place to visit .
We hired a cab for all 3 days. A bit pricey but was extremely convenient and the owner/driver was super nice.

Good place to base with lots of activities close by.
Good place to base with lots of activities close by. We didn't spend much time in the town itself as we stayed slightly out of town center so cannot comment on restaurants and such. Good street food. Good grocery shopping to stock up.

We spent 2 full days there.
We spent 2 full days there. The first day we went to the local Mayan ruins of Cahal Peche and Xanantunich and the second we went cave tubing with Bellizean Caving Expeditions. Both were amazing experiences. If we had an extra day we would have loved to see the Mayan city of Carocal which is further away from town.

If you're looking for quiet and remote, then this is your place. There isn't much to do here. Thank God for the Casinos. They gave me something other than staring at the hotel walls to do.
Visiting the Mayan ruins of Xunantunich, was great. But you definitely want to take the taxi from the ferry to the top of the hill, if you're not in good shape.
Just a little way up the road is a restaurant named Sweet & Sour. The food was very good. I just wasn't feeling the cow foot soup. Lol.
Although lots of advertisement says public transportation is available. However, unless you want to spend a small fortune, you absolutely need a car and a working cell phone for the GPS.
The people in Belize were very helpful and friendly. It was great that most of them spoke English. This was a huge plus.
The poverty here was heart breaking. I'm glad that I had an opportunity to visit. But I doubt that I will be going back any time soon.

The only thing that was horrific about this place was the hair braiding woman whose small shop is directly left from The Spot restaurant which is on the opposite side of the Venus hotel. The woman is violent. She gave us a big spill about how awful my daughters hair extensions were and that she would take it out and do it again. She said she would do it for 50USD. We accepted as she seemed like a nice lady but how wrong we were. She took the extensions out but then said she couldn’t remove the beads in my daughters hair and would need to leave them in. My daughter was horrified so I then had to bite every single one of them out myself. She then cut a three inch chunk of my daughters hair which is right on the crown. We told her we didn’t want her doing it and she bullied us to carry on. She then side platted my daughters natural hair and made a huge plaitted bump and then sowed the hair into the plait leaving a huge surplus of the hair extensions hanging. My daughter was so distraught and started crying and begged her to stop. She then took a 12 inch kitchen knife from her handbag and pepper spray on her key ring and said we must giver her the money. It was such a scary experience. Please please avoid this woman at all costs. We then complained to authorities whom explained she was mentally unstable. They wanted us to file a police report to have her arrested but we just wanted to leave the area.

Easy to navigate on foot.
Easy to navigate on foot.
The market is a must see for especially the food that is available throughout the day.
Just like any other place, be careful at night time when walking downtown. We did feel very safe.
Have bug repellents ready at night.
Location of this hotel is awesome if you want to be in easy walking distance of all things in San Ignacio which has a fairly concentrated main street. The staff was also wonderful - shout out to Ismael for all the recommendations and helpfulness! Loved the microwave available for use and even the fridge if you ask. Really liked the balcony looking overlooking the city and jungle - highly recommend checking out sunrise! Also free parking if you have a car which is a bonus.
perfect view, incredible staff, very fair prices on food, drink and transportation. I did not experience any issues with water temp/pressure or WiFi as other people commented. typically, I expect hotel prices on additional items like food to be higher than the rest of town but generally found it to be competitive with or in some cases cheaper than down town. overall I would recommend it for the majority of people but not all.
The staff were all super friendly. I'd like to give a special shoutout to Minnelli. I have been to many places and met many friendly people in the hospitality business, still, Minnelli was hands down one of the best. She went out of her way to help me with my trip arrangement and made my visit at San Ignacio so much more pleasant.
Good food as well.
15 minutes walk to Cahal Pech and about 20 minutes walk to downtown
The rooms are very big with a good bed, lots of light, spacious bathroom and you have your own patio with a hammok :)
Also the garden of the hotel is very nice and the big swimmingpool is a big plus. Eventhough you are not in the center of San Ignacio, you can reach anything with a few minuts of walking. Staff was also very friendly and helpfull.
This Villa was amazing, and better than the photos. The bed was comfortable, hot water ,and staff amazing. The chef Amina cooked some of the best food I've ever had. Every meal was made to order and my welcome lunch upon arrival was right on time. I'm looking forward to visiting Villaa Massi again with family and friends.
Great place to stay with friendly hosts. Villa Cayo is only a few 3.5K from San Ignacio which is great for restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Located on a hill above the tree line gives you the jungle feel with great sunsets. A well maintained touch of paradise.
This accommodation was prefect from the friendliness of staff to the amazing food. The cabin was big and we loved that there was a swimming pool but the best part was the quiet location and the birds singing. Amazing from start to finish. Highly recommend.
It’s a good place you can get for the price in San Ignacio that is close to the bus stop and tour agencies. But if you don’t have to be in San Ignacio you may rather stay 15min out of the town and enjoy the nature. Being in the city is not much fun.
My room was incredibly clean and spacious. The bathroom was also huge, but the tub was awkward to get in to (I'm short). Charlene was the best host a traveler could ask for! I hope she has a great vacation this summer- she earned it.
Hotel staff were amazing - this was probably my best experience with hostel staff of all the hostels I've stayed at as everyone was very friendly and helpful. Location is pretty convenient and the value for price was pretty spot on.
Javier is the best! He was very helpful with booking tours, or providing any kind of information. He made my stay very pleasant for a solo traveller. I did like the outdoor area, it would be cool if they could have a bar there.
Great location in San Ignacio to explore on a stop over to Guatamala or as a first stop from Belize. They organise ATM cave tour which is well worth it. Chill area with hammocks is a great place to chat to fellow travellers.
Friendly staff (Bubbles, you run a great hostel!), spotlessly clean, spacious kitchen and common areas, near Cahal Pech, shops, bus stop, and decent restaurant just across the main street.
The staff were great and the food was exceptional, home cooking at its best. We quickly found out it was well worth the experience of staying at the lodge for our meals!
The receptionist was one so kind and friendly. She helped us with booking the ATM tour (cheaper and great tour) and with a shuttle (also cheaper Compared to others)
The food was excellent. Had some amazing staff. I will say the food was the best I ever had in Belize however the accommodations didn't match the quality.
