Great food and great people

We went on vacation with our friends, a family with 2 children. Our review: Sveti Vlas as a seaside resort: we recommend it from all points of view, I think Sveti Vlas is the most charming Bulgarian resort we have been to. About the accommodation itself: - The pool was a major problem that ruined our vacation for ourselves and others, especially since there were probably people staying for a few days. Specifically, the pool filter system broke down. This is a big problem when you pay for accommodation with a POOL and you no longer have a pool. - Imho the accommodation was quite clean and well-kept. The cleaning lady, who was a sweetheart, tried to come every day to clean, but waking up late and having a strange schedule, we almost never let her in :)) In itself, however, this lady was a 10 out of 10, both in vibe and in the work she did. - The restaurant was decent but nothing more: there are much better options in the area. The prices are high, the portions are small, the service is decent though. Our friends review: I highly not recommend this location unless you really want to ruin your vacation. I added few photos of the pool in case you want to compare the reality with the photos they posted on their website, booking listing, etc, etc. Hotel highlights: Great view Rooms: Clean services are very poor, the floor didn't got whipped once in 15 nights, we got new bedsheets only once and after we asked for. The furniture looks and feels like 20 years old. Showers don't have a curtain and water is splashed all over your bathroom. Wi-fi is a complete disaster, it only worked 2 or 3 days out of 15. Nearby activities: The beach is very close and I think it's the only positive thing together with the free parking. Food & drinks: Food is expensive compared to other restaurants, portions are smaller and you need wait a lot to get your order served.

Very good overall experience. I appreciate room fotos on booking.com corresponded with the reality. Comfortable beds/mattresses. Breakfest better than I expected. Even wi-fi was working well, at least in our room. The staff including owners - kind, helpfull, ready to do an extra mile. Thanks for that!
