The hotel is close to the train station which is great if you want to travel to Bruges/Antwerp/Brussels and about 20mins walking from the old town of Ghent..the bed was comfy and the hotel is spotlessly clean...breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon alongside good range of cold meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, yogurts and pastries all good quality...staff were really friendly and always greeted politely...there is a small room by reception providing free tea and coffee to guests.
This hotel is set at the Leie River in the centre of medieval Ghent, 500 metres from Saint Bavo Cathedral and a 2-minute walk from Veldstraat Shopping District.

The staff were great from the time we arrived. We arrived early and they had our room early. We were given a map and a run down of all the places of interest. The room was very clean and house keeping was great. The breakfast was nice with a good selection. The food in the adjoining Foleys bar and restaurant was excellent as was the staff also. The location was great a short walk from all the main sites , which there are many in Gent. Reception were so kind and even arranged a taxi to bring us the the train station for our trip home.

Room was clean & comfortable. Breakfast was good with a large seating area & plenty of choice. The hotel is conveniently sited outside the centre of Ghent so isn't subject to city centre restrictions/fees.

Just wow: Gorgeous location, carefully restored building, beautifully designed rooms, friendly staff - everything deserved 5 stars! The room is spacious and offers lots of perks, the bed was comfortable, the double sink and spacious shower made even the banal routines fun and exciting, the Guerlain cosmetics are also a nice addition.
