we were in contact with the owner via whatsapp when we arrived, even though we arrived late, he waited for us and gave us the keys,..in the center of Doboj, everything accessible on foot, the apartment is very beautiful, functionally practical, has everything you need, a kitchen, hot water, a balcony, and what is most important is extremely clean, in the immediate vicinity of shops, restaurants, we were in contact with the owner the whole time, and he advised us where to eat well, shop cheaply,...

The 4-faced spomenik to the partisan fighters of the 2nd WW in the park is very fine. Also the recently ( 2015 ) one erected outside the town near the railway station to commemorate the 1915 interment in Austro-Hungarian concentration camps, is especially powerful and graphic. The fortress is a common visitor hotspot...which affords good views. But there's more to this town than the fortress. I self-catered so didn't eat out. I didn't see many restaurants....but there is a VERY good flower shop near the base of the fortress, with a captive bicycle outside it!
