American River is a bit out of the way, and KI Lodge is almost as far as you can go before the road ends! We had a superior King Bayview room, which had a nice balcony, 2 decent beds and was tastefully decorated. Its features include tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, an iron and ironing board, and a room safe. And thank you to the hotel for the “welcome gift” of a bottle of wine and cookies; very thoughtful! There is an a la carte restaurant and a bar, which served food. We chose the latter and were quite happy with the selection of meals available. It has a marked walk in their rear grounds, which we did, and were lucky to see glossy black Cockatoos in the wild. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, it's only 40 mins to the ferry, so very convenient.

Very comfortable beds and spacious bedrooms. Great location just a couple minutes walk to the beach. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful.

Wanderers Rest on Kangaroo Island is a small seaside guest house. The beautiful venue has come into new management, a small family run business.

"Studio" room was spacious & well laid out, with a great view from ground floor. TV was easily adjustable to face bed, lounge or table. Staff were helpful.
