Beautiful guesthouse on the Clarence River with friendly hosts and great inclusions. Had dinner and breakfast which allowed mixing with other guests. Went for a kayak before breakfast and the lovely new kayaks were all ready for us on the slipway.

Great town with all the facilities you would expect in a larger regional town. Right on the river there are some great little spots to fish, sit and look at the river and its occupants go by or have a picnic with a significant other lots to do and see around Grafton.

It was close (within walking distance to the big shopping centre) and it was simple to find.
The staff were lenient and patient and when I asked for a ground floor room she gave it to me. The shower looked nice also.

Ann and David were perfect hosts.
Ann and David were perfect hosts. I wish we had stayed here on our way to Queensland before. Would definitely recommend this B&B to my friends. The cooked breakfast was really good.
The cuppa and home made cake David made was an extra treat on our arrival.
Will stay again for sure. Ros & Keith xx

We were there for a race meeting, very lovely race course and enjoyed the day greatly. Great pubs and restaurants close to the Civic and race course. Easy to get into the main area via the new bridge.

Room was an old dump, lounge was dirty carpet was stained.
Room was an old dump, lounge was dirty carpet was stained. Kitchenette was from the 60's. Water in bathroom basin only had hot, shower needed a good scrub, mould on shower ceiling. No air con in main living area. Window that looked onto motel walkway curtains did not cover properly so people could see in when they walked past.
Very over priced & over rated by others, are you sure they actually stayed there. Bates hotel would have been better.
Town was on valium. Where has the old charm of Grafton gone?
I would give Grafton a big miss.

Sadly it was raining the time we were there which limited what we were able to do. But we walked the main street and had brunch with friends who live there, who we had gone to see on our way home from our big trip South. It looks like a lovely town.
The house is very spacious, warm and well maintained. The surrounding bushland is just beautiful, full of wildlife and colour. Everything we needed was provided, and Anne and Kevin were very welcoming hosts. We were all very comfortable in the beds provided, and the large bathroom including a bathtub was great for the kids with us. We would definitely stay again if we visit the Grafton area.
We stayed overnight on our way to a conference on the Gold Coast. It was two thirds of the way and a nice place to stop. The owner very friendly and set up self contained from main house. Breakfast is only continental and self serve - other B&Bs are more substantial re breakfast. In fairness to owner it may a left over from COVID as she is very concerned not to get it.
It was in a great location, very short walk to the Main Street, and had everything you needed, milk, tea, coffee and even some snacks! Every room had a fan and there was an air conditioning unit in the kitchen that kept the house cool if you left the bedroom doors open but we weren’t there in summer.Next time I’m in Grafton I will definitely be staying there.
I loved the views, the location, the ease at breakfast and dinner, the pleasure of local drives, the cute town of Grafton nearby. Wonderful room, great balcony overlooking the Clarence River. Kangaroos and echidnas, kookaburras and gregarious singing birds all around. Amazing house, with astonishing woodwork throughout by the owner. Lovely place.
Have stayed at Grafton Central Motel before and it is always a pleasure as the rooms and bathrooms are super super clean. They really are ahead of their game with cleanliness which, is a credit to them and their staff as it is one of the most important aspects to a comfortable stay.
It was ideally placed for our weekend at Grafton for the horse races. Close to restaurants and pubs also. Loved the reception from the owner when we arrived, very welcoming. We arrived a little early, didn't matter just a phone call away.
The room was very clean, well equipped and the bathroom has been updated. It is called the Hi-Way motel for a reason - there was some heavy traffic noise until nightfall, but after dark it seemed to quieten down.
Unit was a converted house on the property which provided a large, outdoor space under the verandah which also included an outdoor setting of table and six chairs.
Main bed was huge, firm and very comfortable.
We weren't there for long. We had travelled to Qld to pick up a puppy. We stayed in both a motel room and pet friendly cabin. Both were clean with everything needed for our stay
great renovated rooms, very clean too. was difficult trying to find a renovated/newer motel room in grafton so we were very happy to have found Fitzroy motor inn.
