Just a 5-minute walk both from Heiligenblut’s centre and ski area, the family-run Hotel Kaiservilla features a spa area with a Finnish sauna and a steam bath, and a ski storage room with a ski boot...

Our stay at Hotel Kaiservilla was exceptional. The spacious room with a balcony offered breathtaking views, and the breakfast was unparalleled in richness and variety. The village and the surroundings are beautiful, good food in the restaurants. We missed a cafe open in the morning :). The church and its surroundings are incredibly beautiful and well-kept: no wonder it is the symbol of the village.

If you ever go to visit Heiligenblut, please drive the Grossgluckner Hochalpenstrasse and visit the Kaiser Franz Josefs Hohe. Park your car and go find some murmeltieren. I had the best day of my life with some carrots and the friendly murmeltieren.

We did the road to view Grossglockner, and it is highly recommended! On the way from Zell am See, Heiligenblut was at the end of this road so it was a great place to finish the day and stay. The village is small, but very pittoresque with great views!

Our second visit to Heiligenblut, perfect location for a short stay crossing Austria. The village is small, quiet and friendly, the views and sense of relaxation fantastic. Sure you can stay at more convenient places along the busy highways crossing Austria, staying here after a 10 hour drive and you feel recharged to continue the next day. Of course if you stay longer then Heiligenblut has many things to do nearby, a great location as base camp for family trips in the summer.

It is a good place to visit because everybody could find something nice to do. They have a lot of places for kids, you can go hiking, or just walk around. It is a bus to the platform under Grossglockner or you can go with your car to enjoy wondeful views and nature. Of course at the winter there are a lot of places to ski. Go there you would not be sorry.

This stay was a most pleasant surprise! I could hardly believe the wonderful room we got. Everthing sparkling new, clean and freshly decorated. The room was big, and the bathroom too. The beds were very comfortable. The view was just magnificent, both from the bedroom and the breakfast room. The photos don't give justice to the rooms - they are much better in real life. The breakfast was good and the host a lovely welcoming person. If you need somewhere to stay in Heiligenblut, I will warmly recommend Pension Sonnleitner!

Usually, I stay at bigger Hotels, but we rediscovered, how great it is to stay in a family-run hotel. We appreciated the host, location, fantastic view, sauna, cleanliness, and restaurant for dinners. The bus stop to Heliigenblut/Grossglockner ski area was actually in front of the ski depot room. Wifi worked excellently in my room. If we come back to the region, we come back to this accommodation!

Amazing place to stay, unfortunatelly we had just one night and weather was not good. We could not arrive on time due to trafic problems but lady from reception made late check out for us. Room was nice, calm and quite spacious - on the ground level so easy to move luggage there. If you wanna go to Grossglockner, this place is almost there. Big parking place in front of the hotel.

It will never be easy to run this property while taking care of her kid/family by a woman but you can tell something when you notice the decoration made in this property. This property is nice and clean. Location is great (Heiligenblut may be one of the best locations to visit Großglockner area).

The breakfast was spectacular. Rupert supplied everything you could possibly want, including eggs laid only ten minutes ago. The view was ideal--the village's 500-year old church on one side and Austria's highest peak on the other side. Nothing obstructed our view of either.
